HELLO, I HAVE RECENTLY BOUGHT THE F50S WITH SPEED CELL FOR IPHONE AND PC SYNC

 

I DOWNLOADED THE MI SOCCER AND MI COACH APP TO MY IPHONE AND SET UP MY ACCOUNT ONLINE

 

MY FIRST ATTEMPT WENT FINE I SYNCED IT STRAIGHT AFTER THE GAME VIA MY IPHONE AND IT NOW SHOWS ON THE MICOACH WEBSITE BUT..

 

AFTER MY 1ST TRY IT SAID WORK OUT DATING 01/01/1970 SO I TRIED AGAIN AFTER MY GAME TODAY AND SYNCED IT STRAIGHT AFTER THE GAME TO MY IPHONE AND IT WORKED AGAIN BUT YET AGAIN SHOWING THIS CRAZY DATE!!

 

CANNOT CHANGE IT VIA IPHONE ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEAS AS I NOW HAVE TWO WORK OUTS I CANT CHANGE ANYTHING ABOUT ON THE 1/1/1970 AND TIME SAYING 12AM EACH ATTEMPT

  • I'm having the same problem except my date is 11/27/2011... the documentation and support for this devise is absolutely horrible... I have a feeling it is a great product but I'm at a loss on how to do even the most basic things... horrible support, horrible web site horrible user interface... just pathetic. Hopefully things improve as they sell more devices.... ugg

    Thanks for speaking out this issue.

     

    We haven't seen any issue like this before. Hmm... it is really weird.

     

    How does the date of these two workouts shows on your miCoach web account? Same as on iPhone?

    Is the date on your mobile phone set correctly?

     

    I will check and follow up with our engineers and will get back to you once I get some information from them.

     

    Could you please drop a ticket to the customer support (support@micoach.com) with the title "wrong date of the Speed Cell workout: 1970" and let them know the correct date of those workouts as they are able to change the date of your workouts?

     

    @Ctdennis: Is the date of your workout also incorrect? If so, could you please also drop a ticket to the customer support support@micoach.com with the correct date? Sorry to hear that things are not clear for you. Can I help you with anything? Please let me know.

    Sorry for the delayed respond and thanks a lot for the screen shot and detail information.

     

    It was very good idea to sync your Speed_Cell via your laptop to see how it works.

    I see! The year this time shows correctly but the date and time are still way off.

     

    I do understand this can be frustrating.

     

    I am also very sorry to hear that you haven't heard anything from them even though you have sent many emails.

    They might have some delay in response due to higher amount of support requests.

    Have you sent ticket with the title suggested and the correct date of your workouts so that they can change the date?

    I will check with support team for sure.

     

    I am already checking this issue with our engineers.

    I will get back to you as soon as I get some information from them.

  • Hi Guys,

     

    Could you please try following steps and see if you still get this wrong date issue?

     

    1. Sync your Speed_Cell with App or Web before starting workout. (Note: Do not open the back cover of the Speed_Cell or take off the battery from the Speed_Cell. This resets your Speed_Cell!)
    2. Do your workout.
    3. Sync your Speed_Cell with App or Web to check the data.

     

    Please let me know how it works.

    • i get the same date problem but also can not syn to micoach always get the sasme message over and over no mater when i try to sync (synchronization with micach failed .please try again later.

       

      VERY VERY frustrating please help

    • I have the exact same problem as MarkEvans89. My workout dates are all dated 1 January 1970. I can sync the data with my phone but it doesnt appear on my miCoach page. I then sync it with the laptop software and it appears on my miCoach page but still with that ridiculous date of 1 January 1970. Its so annoying. As I now know the data is on my MiCoach page i press the micoach refresh button in the iphone software and every single time it just says,"Synchronization with miCoach failed. Please try again later. I am getting really annoyed by this!!!

  • I have the exact same problem - dates and times are out of sync.  All dates are 01-01-1970, the times all vary.  I have used the cell for football and running and the stats all look spot on with regard to recorded activity.  The run was tracked very well.

     

    But the dates and times issue is very frustrating - I tried the sync before and after and still no joy.  Upon syncing the device doesn't always connect but keep trying and it will after 3 or 4 attempts.  In regard to syncing with micoach it uploads the files but at the end the failure message pops up.  I check online and its all there.

     

    Perhaps the adidas football app need a few bugs fixed.  I will try the mi coach running app to compare. After that I will reinstall the app to see what happens

  • I have done everything that micoach has said and none of it works getting really frustrated will not sync to micoach, won't show the right date and takes 3-4 times before it connects, paid all this money and not doing what it is advertised to do,can even take it back to shop as I brought it in France while on holiday.

     

    Micoach please help me sort it out

    Sorry to hear that some of you are still experiencing this "1970 year" issue.

     

    Could you please send an email to support@micoach.com (subject title "Speed_Cell wrong workout date (1970)") with following details?

     

    • iPhone model and its OS version
    • Which miCoach App (miCoach mobile App, miCoach Soccer App or miCoach football App) do you use for synching your Speed_Cell?
    • Did you get any error? If yes, send them the exact error message with the screenshot.
    • All steps you have tried to fix this issue.

    • Hi have done eveything that has been asked of

       

      Synced before and after work out no change in date

      Football app won't sync to micoach

      Always get sync failed please try later

      Takes at least 3 attempts for speed cell to connect to football app

      Already sent emails

      Sent 2 screen shots already

      Have iPhone 4 upto date iOS

      Uninstall app many times

      In the same boat as everybody else when using the iPhone miCoach Soccer App. Is there any update/solutions yet?

       

      I've two units and the original one works perfectly well from day one when attached to the PC. On the other hand, the second unit first work out was dated 1.1.70 and then failed to work when syncing after use in a match.

       

      Tonight I tried it to see whether it was working correctly and receive exactly the same workout information as the original sync; this information was not uplifted to the website.

       

      I've contacted support, but if there has been progress it would be good to hear.

      • I received direction from Support which was followed, this was: -

         

        1. Take out the battery of the Speed Cell for 30min.

        2. Update the version of the miCoach Manager: Right-click on MiCoach symbol and select "Check for manager update".

        3. Sync before using it.

        4. Do two workouts to check that the dates are correct.

         

        Result: After a spending a couple of days unstalling and reinstalling the iPhone app, the cell finally began to sync with information being uploaded, and also seen on the web with the correct date.

         

        However, that was with the first purchased unit, the second Speed Cell hasn't been recognised at all since, either on the computer or Iphone and feel it's defective.

         

        One point, I tried downloading the latest version of the miCoach Soccer app that I believe is version 1.2, yet after download, it shows it as 1.0.

        • mate i have had this problem aswell dont know if this will help ,is your phone in 24 hours or pm if it is try changing your phone to 24 hour clock, cause soon as i did this the dates corrected its self. please try and tell me if it worked thanks.

          • Thanks, it's on 24 hour clock and always has been. As stated above, following the instructions given worked for the first purchased unit but the second is now effectively dead.

              Sorry for the late response.

               

              So you are having an issue with your second SPEED_CELL that it can be recognized neither by the manager nor by the miCoach App.

               

              Does this mean that the miCoach manager and the miCoach App only can recognize your first SPEED_CELL? If you have more than one SPEED_CELL, they should all appear on the miCoach App(under the miCoach> Settings> Manage devices> add deivce) and on the miCoach manager.

               

              We have two different miCoach Apps that you can sync your SPEED_CELL with. One is the miCoach Running App and the other one is the miCoach Soccer App. Have you also tried with the miCoach Running App to check if your SPEED_CELL can be recognized?

               

               

              • Make sure that the SPEED_CELL is within the range (with in 10 meters from the miCoach Connect but no closer than 6 inches) and that the SPEED_CELL is activated (shake it).

               

              • Replace the battery of the SPEED_CELL and try again (Please note that removing the Battery deletes the saved data from the SPEED_CELL) as the battery might have drained completely.

               

              Have you got any email from the support team regarding your second SPEED_CELL?

               

              Please let me know.

                That's worked, I swapped the battery over from the working unit to the other one and it was seen immediately seen, so thanks, althought a bit disapointed the battery only lasted a couple of weeks.

                 

                Support have been replying to emails and trying their best to help.

                  The battery of the SPEED_CELL can be used for approximately one hour, five times a week for five month.

                  If the battery has drained so quickly, please send your full postal address and telephone number to our support team as they can replace your battery.

                    Unfortunately, that wasn't the end of the matter as the replacement battery did not make the unit work, meaning there was a problem with the connection from the battery to the unit.

                     

                    Support said I should contact the retailer and ask for a replacement unit, however, they are less forthcoming and want to inspect the unit for themselves and should they deem the goods aren't faulty, then they will return them. Of course, not allowing for the time I've spent on trying to get the bloody unit to work.

                     

                    Personally, while Adidas Support have done there best to assist, now I got to deal with somebody who doesn't understand the hours spent trying to get this unit to work; that's all I want.

                     

                    I suggest anybody with a similar problem sends the item back and saves themselves hours of grief as it's not worth the hassle.

    • Hi Mark,

      Can I suggest the following for setting up  iPhone: -

       

      Uninstall software from both PC and iPhone.

      Find the latest software download for both (would start with the PC, although if it's working already, it might not require this) as I'm told the latest version ought to automatically install the latest firmware as well at the same time.

      Reset the speed_cell by removing the battery.

      Plug in the connect to the iPhone.

      Open miCoach Soccer app (as SportySpider1 mentioned above, try also downloading miCoach Running)

      Navigate to settings... Manage Devices... +add device.

      (Hopefully) the speed_cell is noticed and a number is shown.

      Leave the number as the device name for the time being.

      If the speed_cell is new it will ask for a passkey, leave this blank and click ok.

      If the speed_cell has been used and has a passkey, input the code and click ok. 

      Go back to manage device and touch on the number showing to edit name, once changed click ok.

      Next, go back one step on the menu and choose Sync. At this point if you haven't already added a passkey, you can add one now.

      Again, hopefully, the workout will then show correctly in workout history with the correct date (fingers crossed)

       

      Mark, I've downloaded the soccer app on numerous times trying to ensure it the latest version. Mine shows up as version 1.0, although on the web it's shown as V1.2.

       

      You've probably done all this, but if not, give it a go.
