  • I got exactly the same problem.

     

    Fits I got the symtoms wher teh pacer seems to empty its battery even when Off.

     

    I tried teh paper clip factory reset, but my pacer died in the middle of it, and now it's total blackout. No LEDs, No buttons, No USB detection on several computers.

     

    I sent a message to Customer support 2 days ago, and still waiting for a reply.

     

    I'll keep you posted.

     

    I've had my Pacer for 1 1/2 years, and each firmware update required paper clip resets as far as I can remember, but this time beats all, the Pacer is as responsive as a brick.

     

    I don't see how this can be solved without sending the pacer to the factory though.

  • Talking about a quick fix.  Why don't they just put the old firmware back on?????

     

    Or add an option to allow us restore to the old firmware?????

  • I have sent mine back to Wiggle.co.uk, which is where I bought it from and where Adidas customer support advised me to send it. It did take customer support a few days to answer my email, so for all of you still waiting be patient, I'm sure they are doing their best to sort the problem out. I have today had email confirmation that Wiggle have recieved my Micoach and that it is faulty (mine is 14 months old) they are  sending me a replacement and have even refunded my postage. On the whole it has been a nice easy returns proceedure. I hope you all get yours sorted in the very near future. I also hope that all future firmware updates are thouroughly  tested before roll out - I also agree that we should have an option as to wether or not to accept these updates the same as we do for nearly every other update that is computer based. Hang on in there guys - there is ligth ahead.

  • After the third try to reset the pacer(see previous posts for the 2 other tries) my device has the famous Green light for hours , even in off position, doing nothing. I have no pacer, can't do my training. I submitted the log file which the support found '' all they need '' . I must stop using the ''f'' words if i want their future support, no mentioning for returning the pacer though....Still waiting and no lights at the horizon, how can you say the solution is near? Bought mine 11 months before from the Adidas official store ''The Mall'' ,Athens.No problems with previous updates......Hope your new pacer from Wiggle won't get fried after firmware upgrade.If it will survive we must all demand pacer replacement!

  • Well today I have received my brand new pacer. Great I thought, but guess what - it won't scyncronize. I have tried uninstalling micoach manager and reinstalling to no avail. Getting really frustrated now!!!

  • Have tried all sorts, my pc and laptop just keep giving the sound of the pacer connecting and disconnecting. I could cry. it's like having a fab new toy and no batteries!!

  • Right had enough, seems none of us are getting the answers to the problems we have and the answers we are getting are not working. I go away at the end of next week and was going to take micoach with me, Unfortunately even having a brand new pacer has not resolved any thing, in fact it's worse, I cannot even get two pc's to recognise it. I have tried everything. Think the only thing left for me to do is have a refund and train without micoach, it was great when it worked but I cannot be bothered with all the stress this is causing, it is after all a bit of plastic. Why oh why did they have to mess with it? Why are some people's okay and not others not? Why is it causing untold amounts of even different problems for different people? I'm done, given up - already wasted best part of a week trying to figure it out, I'm definitely no techy but even I would of by now put the old firmware back on until problems were resolved, then again even that probably wouldn't resolve an issue like two different pc's not even recognising the device. I am not going to sit and wait three days for them to ask me what is wrong. Hope you all get yours sorted!

  • THANKS micoach for sending me my replacement pacer

    but after updating my firmware my pacer is back to same problem.

    green light allways on.

    had enough

    so asking for my money back and going back to garmin

    warning if they send you a new pacer you are screwed same problem after updating.

    adidas recall all pacer's and sort this out

    Thank you for the patience.

    I received the answer from the tech department regarding your case.

    1 Suggest you to use US Female voice, don't change back.  It means you only change Voice 1 time, or could be an odd number of times.  Example, Choose US Male, then US Female, then back to UK Female (or whatever your favourite is).


    I'm  glad i have to use female voice (cause i'm male)....and glad i don't  have to use Chinese.OK let's try it! What are the ODDS to have a  success? Yes that's right 0%! Sorry to tell you but this didn't work


    2 If this doesn't work, the tech department can send you a patch to try and help.

    Let's try that patch thing!


    They are working on this issue, but it will take a while since it is difficult for them to duplicate your issue. 

    The tech department also wrote “I wish I had him and his computer here.  I would ask him more questions about what programs he is running and what other USB devices he has plugged in.”

    That's  easy! If you pay my trip expenses you can have me and my pc at your  centrals..After all my pc is a Vaio netbook and can be carried easily


    Is it possible for you to find out what other programs your PC runs

    Well its Win 7 32bit and usually it runs miCoach manager,hp digital imaging monitor, gstart (for the Garmin watch),daemon  tools lite,vaio update,ashampoo hdd control, vaio wireless connection  manager,bluetooth,microsoft security essentials,the weather gadget ,Rocket Dock and a  browser( chrome or firefox)

    and if you use other USB devices on it?

    it  only has 2 usb ports so the  first port is usually occupied by a ZTE  MF636 modem for the mobile internet. At the other port i alternate  connecting  the miCoach pacer and a Garmin 310 GPS watch (that instead  of the pacer is working to perform my training)


    Could  you please have a try and give me an answer? I need to inform them in  case the instructions cannot help you. They will specialize on your  issue and make a special program.

    Waiting the special program for a special person with a special pacer...

    I am sorry for the inconvenience brought by it and I really hope we can find a good solution for the issue as soon as possible.

    Sorry  of being a little ironic but it's better than the ''f'' words  right?After all it brings some laugh! I know you are in bad situation  but thing about us...Especially today i'm very disappointed cause other  customers that they have received new pacers report that they have again  the same problems.I love my pacer and it is the thing that i have since  the beginning of my running ''trip''.Just  2 weeks before i would really recommend someone to get miCoach (despite  you ignored all of us who have windows mobile phones and never released  win mobile edition-but that's another story) but today i can only tell  him better get a Garmin or Nike+ watch

    We hope we made your experience better!

    Finally  i want to describe pacers current behaviour...Open it,does nothing,no  voice or searching sensors, green power button on. Power off- the green  power buttton stays on...after a while heart and stride sensors red  lights on and  steady.And after 3-4mins everything goes off.You can't  call it a functioning device, do you?

  • Im glad to see people are venting there anger now I was starting to think I was over reacting. This may sound silly but im starting to think Adidas has messed the pacers up on purpose most peoples pacers are pretty much useless but there is no fix to sort it out and it doesn't look like there will be one either. Any other company that had made a massive mistake like this would be doing all they can as fast as they can to sort it out but Adidas dont seem to be doing anything to sort this mess out, for a start why mess something up that was perfectly fine in the first place? I think they want to concentrate on making the other products better like the Micoach app instead of the pacer!

    I was wanting to get a replacement pacer but looking at some of these reply's there doesn't seem much point since they dont work either. so I think I will give it another week or so then I will be pushing for a refund ive already started looking at other products like the Nike+ sportsband because I feel that Micoach is in such a mess now.

    Its such a shame really because when it was working it was great I really enjoyed using it but now it just makes me angry messing up my training its not worth stressing about so I think I will soon be a ex Micoach customer unfortunately

  • They obviously borked something with regard to power management of the SBC in the pacer. It's got nothing to do with people's computers or USB devices or anything else. The first reaction is to try to isolate the cause, so I appreciate the questions that CSRs are asking. 

     

    But, I have a mac, and I've tried it with my powered USB hub, and straight into the USB port. Same results. My wife's pacer does not have this issue. She bought hers about 4 months after I bought mine. Did they change the hardware? possibly.

     

    So, we have two people with pacers on macs, one with the issue, one without.

    Then there's this guys with windows and a vaio laptop that has the issue. I can tell you that he and I have nothing in common, except we both experience the issue. I hope they get this all sorted out.

  • I'm afraid your in the same situation as a lot of us. I have followed all advice give to no avail. This is why I have given up and am sending micoach back and having a refund, after all this problem has now been going on for three weeks and even after having my pacer replaced I face problems with it not being recognised on my pc. I shall get me a Nike + sportband, not as good as micoach "when it works" but hey a £40 it will do the job and if things do go wrong I'll not have spent to much cash!
