  • Hi everyone,

DarrenC I totally agree with you, every time the pacer gets an update its a hell. Now I got (mandatory i dare say because of no choice to refuse it) the 3.26 and at first use the pacer start whistling immediately after the the sensors search and no workout is available for selection.

I tryed everything to fix it and it seems that only the original set up could work, but in that config you are not able to synch the pacer because you're forced to download the new firmware that, again, is totally bugged.

It is not serious that a company with a name like adidas has makes so few accuracy in maintain its own products.

  • I had problems with every update so far. I couldn't select workout or turn it off. I figured out that if I change narration voice and sync pacer afterward it works fine. Hope you'll have luck with this one

  • Hi,

I have been using my pacer with loads of joy since march 2011. I've had some problems, mostly around the time when new firmware came out, but nothing that couldnt be solved.

Now, having come back from vacation, I went for a run, tried to sync and it did not work.

Upon plugging in the pacer, the manager shows a message that it has detected a speed_cell, then that message disappers, and nothing, no speed_cell no pacer, no nothing detected.

Any help would be appreciated. Cant mess around on the diagnostics tab either since my pacer is not detected.

    Cheers,

  • since the update, mine won't even be detected by the computer (tried both PC and Mac). Tried several hard/soft resets - no luck. anyone else experiencing "no devices detected" error since the update?

  • Hi Nahrok,

    Thanks for posting.

Please make sure that your USB cable is in good conditions and properly plugged in. I would recommend you to try with another USB and allow the drivers to install properly. If after trying your Pacer with another cable this is still not being detected by your computer please try to uninstall and re install the Manager and try again. If that does not make any difference, please try the following steps:

    1. Plug in the Pacer to the computer. Make sure that the miCoach manager is not running on your computer. If it starts automatically, exit the miCoach manager completely.
    2. Uninstall the Pacer from the device manager as follow : Go to Start> Control Panel> Device Manager> USB Controller> USB Mass Storage device. Check if you can find following hardware IDs under the detail: "USB\VID_1ED6&PID_EEE7….." or "USB\VID_1ED6&PID_AD34….."  If so, please uninstall the device.
    3. Unplug the Pacer.
    4. Restart the computer again and quit the manager if it starts automatically.
    5. Plug in the Pacer.
    6. Let the computer fully install the Pacer .
    7. Start the manager and see if the Pacer can be recognized by the manager.

Please let us know how it goes. I look forward to your feedback.

  • I followed your advice and contacted support via the mi coach web link and provided a detailed note o my issue -pacer is dead, is not recognised by my computer for synching ( this has been an on and off issue, but two weeks ago it was totally unresponsive despite frequent and numerous fidgets by me to get the lights flashing). Despite charging the pacer for two hours it died on me in the begining of a run - just a thin red light on the on/of symbol) and has shown no signs of life since. I have had NO response from the support team, which I think is pretty poor form.Appreciate a swift response to concerns which are now well overdue for resolution

  • Hi Prefontaine,

    Thanks for posting.

I am sorry you are having issues with your Pacer. I checked our system and couldn't see an email in the inbound or any trace with any of our agents. However, one of our agents will reach you out as soon as possible. Please check the email account that is linked to your miCoach account. Sorry for the inconvenience.

  • I have the same problem!

  • mine dont detect stride sensor + random connection issues to the web and computer

  • Hi SOS and redhoax,

Thanks for the post and apologize for the delayed response.

First of all, sorry to hear that you're having an issue with synching your Pacer after the manager update.

I've checked both of your sync data in our system and could see that you've been getting error 840.

Regarding this issue, please try the following instructions:

    - Change your password in your miCoach web account under Settings> General and try synching with the new password on the manager.

    - If this doesn't help, click on the gear symbol on the manager and go to Connection tab and select "auto-detect proxy" and click OK.

    - If the synching fails, make sure to close the manager completely before trying synching again. Right click on "Mi" icon in the taskbar and go to Quit. Exit the manager when it asks. Try this few times.

Please let me know if this helps.

Thanks for your cooperation in advance.

    Cheers,

  • Hi miCoachers,

The original post of this thread concerns a past update which is no longer applicable, as it took place in July of 2011.  Since that time we have done various website and pacer firmware updates, which have improved the stability of operating and syncing the Pacer and have enhanced the overall miCoach experience.

As a result, we will be ending this thread.  If you have further questions or concerns about your Pacer, we encourage you to search the Pacer Discussions area of the Support Site for a conversation which answers your question.  Or start a new thread if you can’t find what you need.

We value your involvement as part of the miCoach community!  Thanks and Happy Training!
