  • My pacer has died too. It shows the green LED when switched on, and for a few seconds after being switched off, but there is no sound, and I can't hear my ipod through it either.  Any reliable fixes out there? TIA

  • Read a lot about the errors. I have the same problem too. Is there a way to downgrade the system?

    Or switch back to fabrics or won't that work either?

  • yes but some people happen to need the device to achieve their goals. This is the reason they bought the thing in the first place. Now it's not working it's a bit silly to say that they shouldn't complain because running is a simple sport.

     

    I'd say that fixing the problem should not be too difficult and acknowledging the issue and updating customers on amy progress for sure isn't.

     

    If my car breaks down i also don't want the car dealer to go quiet or saying that moving around is an easy thing since we can all walk or take the bus instead.

  • The simple point is it's a simple sport.  We all have goals, no need to abandon them.  Our training plans are still there.  We can put a watch on our runs, and still achieve our goals. Just run and try not to let the device run you. It is frustrating, and  we have a right to complain. I'm not happy with the issues, I truly wish all was fixed.  As I said, it's pretty cool to see your results after a good workout but don't miss a workout because of it. Earn your shower today and everyday.

  • During the 1,5 year of use MiCoach I succesfully finished 1 whole program (2 times I replaced hardwear, onece I was waiting 5 mnths) - There was too many times I quit programs becouse of sth...and it wasn't me -  even that I saw significient difference in making progres with miCoach and no such progress without. I am not so advanced in running to make a training plan by myself (now It changed due to use miCoach) but for me it is importent to settel my trainings with my HR. I spent money on Adidas staff and it should simply works. Unfortunatly it is NOT.  Not mentioned I bouth Adidas shoes for winter (to have a "hole in the sole"). Now I feel like sucker and start realy thing all worst about all adidas push me some cripy unsfulle staff.

  • Following my previous post, changing the voice on my pacer seemed to work and then I experienced the problem many of you report - the pacer died in the middle of a workout and is now completely dead - no LEDs or anything. Micoach manager tells me I have the latest version of the software... I can't sync or get anylife out of the device at all.

    Thank you for sharing your concerns and feedback in relation to the 3.19 miCoach Pacer firmware update.  adidas welcomes all consumer feedback and we are addressing the identified issues with our utmost priority.  

    With any potential flaw in a software product, isolating the common cause and finding the solution is a process that takes time and requires the collation of consumer feedback.   Your timely and detailed feedback is a key part of any trouble shooting process. In any case where such an issue is identified, we will always endeavour to release a solution as soon as possible.

    As a result of your feedback and our own investigations, a solution is currently in testing and a miCoach firmware update is scheduled to take place starting the week of 29th August 2011.  This update will resolve the issue of Pacer freezing during workout. 

    Further information will be provided closer to the date.  We thank you for your continued patience.

    Software Developers should thoroughly test the new firmware when it is published to end users

  • Well my patience ended, and I saw no other solution than to return the pacer to the store and buy a Polar watch instead.

     

    I think it is way too bad to have all these problems with a product that has been around for a couple of years or so. I had it for 2 weeks and had more problems during these 2 weeks than I should have had in 2 years.....

  • Good day and bad day.  Pacer locked up at 33 minutes on LT intervals (yellow).  I had done 7 or so ( i lost count) of the intervals followed by green recovery.  I was backing up the efforts with a watch, so when I didn't hear the pacer ask to increase to yellow, I checked and saw my minute recovery was up and took off.  Completed the set. Wasn't perfect but, got through the workout.  Just finished logging the time with some notes. 

     

    Can't wait for the FW update.  That was some good news today

  • NOT GOOD ENOUGH. Fix this problem now or allow us to roll back to a previous version... shouldn't be that hard!!!

    because in the French forums : absolutely no news from Adidas... it's simply a shame.

    We are saying we have issues but... nobody cares. We are just let without giving any explanation, any help...

     


    So it's a luck at least, there is a message here...

     

    But really what a pity...

    That's not serious for a big company like Adidas...

  • I thing the better solution for now is to downgade to the previously runable firmware until the new release will be launced at 29th. Until then all the pacer will have a problem and nobody of us will be continued the workouts.

  • I'd like to make a recommendation to Adidas.  Roll the Firmware accessable from the Micoach Manager back to a working addition.  Give all of us users the option of doing a "Restore the Pacer to factory settings" as described in the FAQs http://forum-micoach.adidas.com/docs/DOC-FAQ-ENG_7  When we then sync we'll get the working version of the firmware and restore our next workouts.  I actually tried this last night but your website is still pushing Firmware Version 3.19 so I went back to what I had.  Is it too hard to replace the firmware on the update server with a working version?
