Anybody have any thoughts as to why my heart rate monitor would quit paring with my Pacer.  I checked the voltage of the heart rate monitor and it is at 3V; I've reset the Pacer and still no paring.  I've tried the steps to pair the device to the Pacer, but the heart icon on my Pacer is still RED!  I have moisture on the back of the heart rate monitor strap and I even tried a contact lens saline solution to make sure there was contact.    If I can only get five runs out of this thing, I'm thinking of going back to Nike+, at least it worked!  What is the contact email for Adidas pacer?

  • hello run4800

have you found the way to solve it?

i'm just experiencing the same. untill yesterday it worked fine (and it did it great for 6 months), then the hrm started to record wild heart rates and suddenly today it doesn't work. i changed the batteries and NOTHING! No pairing at all...

    thanks for your answer

    • Hi parakulturado,

You should probably contact the miCoach Support team - you can do this best through the feedback section of your miCoach account.

When you contact them please include that you have posted this in Forum and also the link to your post so they can follow it up better.

      Cheers,

  • The red HRM light on the Pacer means it's not connected. Even though the battery measures 3 Volts, it can be close to empty. Soon as the HRM strap starts drawing a little current, the battery voltage might drop. I'd suggest you try a fresh battery and re-pair with the Pacer. If that doesn't do the trick, you just may have a warranty case here . .

    • Something similar happened to me and I sent it back to Adidas. They sent me a new one and I noticed when I looked inside that the new HRM had a seal around the battery to protect it from moisture but my old one didn't.

My old one worked great for like 6 months then did the same thing yours is doing. It was really frustrating but ADIDAS didn't mind sending me a new one:)

      • Same problem for me, I've had mine for about three weeks and it stopped working.

Well, ten minutes later, it now recognizes the sensor and can sync with my mac again. If you aren't already doing so, make sure you listen with your earphones for any messages that the pacer tries to give you. I'm not sure why it's working now but it is.

  • I've been using mine for awhile now, just over a year.... and I thought it was just the battery needing to be replaced.  I tested the battery on another object and was fine, but I decided to buy a new battery anyway.  New battery in place and still no luck.  This is not good... and I used to work for adidas!  I love this product because of my heart condition, it helps me monitor when I have difficulties while on the run.  But without the HRM working, what good is it now?

    HELP adidas!!!

    • Hi ID,

Sorry to hear that your heart rate monitor can't be recognized by the Pacer anymore.

I understand this can be frustrating.

      Please check the following steps:

      • Make sure that you are wearing your Heart Rate Monitor properly. Don't forget to moisten the electrodes at the back side of the Textile Strap. Wear the textile strap tight on your chest and make sure that the HRM is placed on the center of your chest.
      • Are you using the Textile Strap? If so, please remove the HRM from the textile strap and put your finger on each metal clip on the HRM. While holding these metal clips with your finger, turn on the Pacer and see if the Pacer can recognize the HRM. In this way you can figure out if it is the textile strap that isn't transmitting your heart rate properly.
      • Please repair your HRM with the Pacer as instructed in the following guide:

Hope this can help you to sort out your issue. If not, please contact our support team using Help> Contact Us section.

      • They had just sent me a new strap... but like I said, it's not the strap.  The HRM is still not reading.  Now I'm awaiting the next response.

Been out of the miCoach for a month.  Just running without tracking.  Oh well.  I guess there's really no need for a miCoach.

        • Hi ID,

          Thanks for the update.

Sorry to hear that the new Textile Strap couldn't help you to resolve your Heart Rate Monitor issue and that you've been out of the miCoach for a long time due to this issue.

I've checked with our support team. They are following up and will get back to you very soon.

Your patience is very much appreciated.

          Cheers,
