I think this feature is still to be released (in August?) so the article is probably published a bit too early.

Reading this post it sounds like you have to choose between creating workouts based on heartrate zones or by pace. Is that true? I really just want to create 1 pace based workout with warmup and cooldown included.
There is now an announcement at the top of this forum which shows that the pace based coaching will be released tomorrow, so then we will know further details on exactly how it works.
The implementation appears to be exactly what it sounded like. You get one or the other. No option to create a custom pace workout like before, which was revoked before I had a chance to try it out. That was the implementation I wanted. I don't want these large ranges. When I'm doing a marathon pace run to qualify for Boston I need to be going 7:15/mi., not 7:00-8:09/mi.
Does anyone have problems with synchronizing the pacer after changing from heart rate tot pace? I just cant get it syncronised! Help?
I just finished setting up my new workout/pace based. Everything seems to be working fine. I sync'd it without issue. Try setting up a a new work out and downloading the new update.
I have exactly the same issue, micoach manager sync get stuck at "sending device configuration to device" after switch to pace based training. When i switch back to heart rate based coaching everything works fine again. I also informed support.
I am very satisfied with the device, no major issues, small website glitches. But I think that adidas quality control, especially with new releases, should be improved. Each new release causes an initial panic with synchronisation and then many smaller issues.
problem still exists in latest micoach manager version 3.2.17
No solution yet. I'm very happy with micoach as it is, but i really want to try pace based training :-) i'm getting impatient..
Yes, the solution came with the latest download manager 3.2.19! Happy with it, im am going to do an assesmentrun now, and see how the zone's will change.
