Hi there

I am looking into micoach for tennis.

Since I don't have an iPhone or an ipod, I should buy the pacer bundle.

However, I do own an iPad and am able to install the tennis app from micoach on it.

What I am wondering now is:

If I upload my data to the website, will it also show on the iPad app or do I need the connect for this?

Second question, what is the maximum range of the connect?

For example: will I be able to use my iPad with connect in my bag on the bench while I am practising on the court or playing a match so I can have live readouts or is this distance too great?

Thanks in advance for any help

Kind regards

  • Hi sybie,

    Thanks for posting.

If you use the Pacer to record your workouts the data will be uploaded to the website and not to the Tennis App. However, there are some parts of the website that are flash supported so it might be that you are not able to see the website on its full capacity with your iPad. I want to share with you this video tutorial so you can see how the Pacer works.

Now, as I mentioned above, the stats you are going to get from the Pacer do not go to the Tennis App. The only way to get stats to the App is through the SPEED_CELL + CONNECT for iPhone/iPod. Unfortunately, currently the SPEED_CELL + CONNECT is not compatible with the iPad. We have noticed that some users have been successful syncing however we do not warranty this will work for all users.

However, there still an alternative for you besides the Pacer and that is the SPEED_CELL for PC/Mac. If you own a computer, then it will work for you too. In that case you only need to place the SPEED_CELL in your shoelaces, play your match and then sync through the USB CONNECT to the website and assign your data to a tennis workout. Please have a look at this video, here you can see how the SPEED_CELL for PC/Mac works on general basis (the video tutorial shows a football workout, but it works the same if you assign to a tennis workout). In this link, you can see how a tennis workout looks after assigning the SPEED_CELL data.

I hope this makes it clearer, if you have further questions, please let us know.

    Regards,
