Hi AAASSABBAGH,
Thanks for posting.
The Stride Sensor and the SPEED_CELL have different functions however, the SPEED_CELL can act as Stride Sensor (bare in mind this is not true the other way around, meaning, the Stride Sensor cannot work as a SPEED_CELL).
Being a bit more specific, the Stride Sensor can be used with the Pacer and the miCoach App for iPhone/iPod and is for cardio training. When you use it, you need to carry the Pacer or mobile phone with the App on all the time. In this mode, the Stride Sensor will record your workout and it will transmit its data to the devices. Then the Pacer or App will use this data in order you can have a pace-based training and it will give you stats such as pace, stride rate and total distance. The Stride Sensor is completely different from the Heart Rate Monitor, since it does not measure any heartbeat. However, you can use it alone with the Pacer or App and then you will have pace-based coaching, so no need to have the Heart Rate Monitor in this case.
Then, the SPEED_CELL can be used as a Stride Sensor, so yes, you can use it instead of your normal Stride Sensor with your Pacer and you are going to get the same results. Just take into consideration that first you need to pair it with the Pacer and then you are ready to go. Also, the SPEED_CELL works by itself and it will record all your movements while training meaning, after you workout you can also sync it with the Football, Tennis, Basketball or Running App and you will get information about your sprints, burst, rallies, total time, average time, max. speed and more, depending on which App you decide to use.
About your second question, first I would like to tell you that unfortunately, currently the iPad is not officially compatible with the miCoach SPEED_CELL. Even though we have hear from users that have been successful when syncing we do not warranty this will work for all users since the compatibility is not official. When we have news about it we will let you know. As an alternative, please use your iPhone or iPod. In case you want to follow up with this option, I would appreciate if you can give me a bit more information about it so I can give you an advise. Could you tell me please, which App are you using? and what are the steps you are doing when trying to sync? and finally, did you pair your SPEED_CELL with the App?
I look forward to your feedback and I hope this makes it clearer.

Hi AAASSABBAGH,
Thanks for posting.
To answer your questions:
1. Yes, you can use the SPEED_CELL with or without the Pacer. If you use it alone, it will record your movements and then you can sync it with the Football, Tennis, Basketball or Running App with the CONNECT for iPhone/iPod. If you use it with the Pacer, then it will act as an Stride Sensor.
2. With the SPEED_CELL you can do workouts as you planned before or free workouts. Both will be recorded.
3. Yes, you can use your SPEED_CELL with the Pacer and sync that workout and afterwards, you still can sync the SPEED_CELL alone with any of the before mentioned Apps (Football, Tennis, Basketball or Running). This because, when you use the SPEED_CELL with the Pacer it only transmits the data to the device and simultaneously, it is recording your movements. That is why this is possible. However, this cannot be done with the Stride Sensor. Just take into consideration that once you sync your SPEED_CELL with the Football App, you cannot sync it again with any of the other three Apps (Tennis, Basketball or Running) because the data can be retrieved only once. At sum, you can sync the workout of your Pacer and then sync your SPEED_CELL with the Football App.
4. About the Football App not registering all of your workouts. Please make sure you are not adding the SPEED_CELL every time you are trying to sync. You only need to do this once. Also, please bare in mind that when using the SPEED_CELL, as a rule you must travel at least 80 meters in a 60 second period somewhere in the workout for it to be considered valid data.
I hope this helps, if you have further questions please let us know.
