Hi,

 

Im aware that there already are threads on this subject, but I wasnt able to contribute on them as I couldnt find any button for it (?)

 

Im having problems pairing my SPEED_CELL with the sports apps as football, basketball, running and tennis. None of them are working, and I have tried absolutely everything from the general user guide to tricks provided by the mods on this forum.

 

Im running iOS 5.1.1 on an iPhone 4.

 

As far as I know, Im not the only one experiencing this problem, and Im wondering if this is something Adidas is working on? The other threads on this subject have thousands of hits, but not really any answers helping out.. Is this a software or a hardware related problem? It seems that it has occured long enough for you to be able to answer this question now.

 

 

 

Have you considered pulling this product off the market as it clearly doesnt work for a huge amount of people?

 

 

I think its time for you to step up and tell us what the problem really is. How about some technical details on the last update in appstore?

    I am also experiencing the same problems as described by patricksen.

     

    I'm running iOS5.1.1 on an iPhone 4S and I have also tried the different apps on an iPhone 4 running version 5.1 and the new iPad running 5.1.1 to see if I got lucky, but with no success. The standard miCoach application is working with the SPEED_CELL in Stride mode.

     

    I bought the miCoach for one reason, to use it during football practice, ie to be able to record statistics during play when you can't have the phone attached to the body.

     

    Please provide an update on this since you can't continue to call this isolated issues affecting only a few users.

     

    If you can't give a timeframe on when to have a fix, please tell us so that we can return the miCoach and to prevent more customers from buying an useless SPEED_CELL that they can't use as advertised.

      first of all, my apologies for this very late reply. This normally does not happens, I thought somebody else would take this post .

       

      Second of all, I am sorry you are having issues with your SPEED_CELL, I understand your frustration.

       

      As you mentioned, it is true that some users are having issues with the pairing process of the SPEED_CELL with some Apps, however I can assure you that not all users are and the reasons of the issues can be different. I also can assure you that our engineers and app developers are looking at the cases with utmost priority and for those who cannot pair, we are looking for a final solution.

       

      I am not sure what or what not you have tried to pair the SPEED_CELL but I want to give you some instructions to try to see if you are successful:

       

      *Connect your dongle to the iPhone. When doing it, please make sure it is plugged all the way in and there is no interference from the iPhone case or similar. You do not have to remove the case, just make sure it is not on the way of the CONNECT.

      *Once your dongle is plugged in, please launch the App, tap on miCoach and then tap on the gear icon that is located on the upper right corner. Then tap on manage devices.

      *Before adding your device (pairing) make sure your SPEED_CELL is awake. To do it just place it in your shoelaces and give 12 strides (24 steps). If you are in a tiny space, then just shake it for some seconds.

      * Make sure your SPEED_CELL is in the right range. Your SPEED_CELL should be within 10 meters from the CONNECT but no closer than 16 cm.

      *Then, please tap on add device and once the number of your SPEED_CELL appears, tap on it.

      *Afterwards, the app will ask you for a passkey. There you have to options, to skip the step and just click ok or to type any combination of numbers you want and then click ok.

      *Then you will see that the app will ask you to name the device. Ignore this step and just press Ok.

      *After this, your device should be paired.

       

      If after trying again you still cannot pair your SPEED_CELL, I would really appreciate if you can contact our Support Team (support@micoach.com) so they can give you one-to-one assistance. When you do it, please let them know in detail what you have already tried, which Apps have you tried, the model and iOS of your iPhone and if the SPEED_CELL is recognized by the normal miCoach App. Finally, please add this code at the beginning of your email: SCM - "your miCoach username" - SD. One of our agents will contact you soon.

        I've been reading some posts (back from April until now) and my feeling is that you have some reproducable issue that you can't solve. The thing is that you don't even have the guts to admit it or even tell your customers that you can't provide a solution for it !!!

        You may save your "We are are very sorry and we will work on a solution as soon as possible" and say that your product is simply not what it was intended to be and that your crappy software is just not working!

         

        I have never been so excited and quickly dissappointed with a product like this in my life before.

         

        I am so sorry to have wasted this 1-2 hours shaking this peace of sh***t and trying to somehow make it work. I will return it first thing in the morning and i really advice everyone else to do the same.

         

        I would have expected some better product quality and/or at least some better handling of the situation from a world leading company like Adidas but obviously and unfortunately we are dealing with a bunch of amateurs.
