Has there been a change to GPS functionality for Android? At the begining of the year I started using the app and it was awful. GPS didn't work if I started the app before starting the phones GPS and it kept losing its signal while I trained. I think there was an update in Feb/March and the problems went away. The only issue is it ocasionally losing signal which was quite bearable.
Now all the bad problems are back. I have start the app and leave it on a window sill while I put my trainers on so it can eventually find a signal. It keeps dropping out during a training session and the pacing is driving me up the wall. I have in 5 seconds been told to "speed up the green zone" count 1, 2 then told "Slow down to green zone" . Just now I was told to speed up to the blue zone despite running at the time on the green/yellow border.
Nothing apart from the app has changed in this time so why have we had a step backwards. I am starting to quickly fall out of love with this app and there are plenty of similar products about.
Thanks for the post.
Sorry to hear that GPS keeps dropping during your run. I understand this can be frustrating and I can feel your pain.
I, however, can assure you that there hasn't been any changes made to the miCoach mobile App recently.
Which Android phone model do you have?
Regarding GPS issue, please try the following steps:
Please note that some android phones have weak GPS. So please use an app (like Tracker Booster) to improve the performance of GPS in your phone.
Hope this helps.
Please let me know how it works.
