Hello,

Does anyone know how I can use the Android application to run a previously recorded or "mapped" route.

Maybe to compare results with previous runs on the route?

Can the app guide me in the right direction during a run?

Thanks

  • Hi Yanaks,

    Thanks for the post.

It isn't possible to add your previous recorded route to a new upcoming scheduled workout.

The miCoach mobile App for android works based on GPS and GPS of your phone will record your route automatically while you are running. You only can create a route and add to a completed workout done using Pacer, a Running workout done using SPEED_CELL or a manaully inserted workout to track your run. The miCoach mobile App records your data and gives you a real time coaching so that you can stay within intervals set in your workout but it doesn't tell you the direction where you should run as it just can record your route.

Hope I was able to answer your question.

Please let me know if you have any further questions.

    • Hi,

It seems to be a tricky to develop a sports app that also provides navigation. I have been looking around extensively and only found one which crashed every few kilometers.... So untill I find an app thad does combine the two I tend to use one app for recording my track (BikeBrain up to now) and one for navigating (Preferably: IGoAnywhere, where I can import a .kml file).

Now that I have the Adidas heart rate monitor I want to use it the miCoach for recoring my track and it does the job but I can no longer use it in combination with my navigation app, because switching between apps pauses the miCoach app. This is very inconvenient as I do need navigation when I am of on a new route.

@SportySpider: I have seen the request for multitasking on the iPhone listed in the feature request. Could you tell me if there is any work being done to realize this feature?

      Thanks

      • Hi Nic00le,

        Thanks for the feedback.

I understand that it can be inconvenient as you can't put the miCoach mobile App in the background while using Sensors.

It's a good idea to have navigation feature within miCoach mobile App and I'll make sure that this request will be passed on to our app guys.

Our app guys have been implementing some features (Heart Rate Monitor and Strength and Flexibility workouts) as per users' feedback and I'm sure they're trying their best to improve and provide more features. At the moment I don't have any update on further development, but I'll keep you updated.

Stay tuned and we look forward to continuous feedback.

        Thanks,

        SportySpider1
