I am wirting this as a warning to folks considering buying the Speed Sensor and using it with Tennis app. I suspect users of all the sport apps will have the same problem. It takes at least 10 tries to get the sensor to sync with the app and after it does it usually has not recorded the session.

 

I have been trying for several weeks now to get the sensor to work. I have replaced the battery and put it in various places and distances (yes I know, not too close), tried closing the app and rebooting the phone. NOTHING works reliably. Most frustrating is when the sensor finally does sync with the tennis app it says nothing and just goes to sync screen. Sync again and it says not workouts recorded. So either the sensor did not record anything from a one or two hour tennis session or the sync process in the app threw all the data away. In any case prepare to be frustrated.

 

So my question is DOES ANYONE HAVE THE SENSOR WORKING RELIABLY WITH THE TENNIS APP OR ANY SPORT APP?

 

I would be happy to test a new sensor if Adiddas would send me a new one or beta tst a new app but I have reported this to support several weeks ago and have yet to hear anything back. I wish I had better news to report. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I can say that with the regular micoach app it certainly recognizes the speed senor so this issue does not seem to apply to runner since they do not use a sports app.

    First of all, thanks for your honest feedback. I am sorry you are having issues with your SPEED_CELL and I can understand your frustration.

     

    This issue with the SPEED_CELL is not happening to all users and for those users that are experiencing issues, I want to let you know that the cases are being analyzed on individual basis and a solution can take a bit of time. I can see that you have tried several steps and that you contacted our support team.However, I want to assure you that we are investigating the cause of these issues with the utmost priority and as soon as we have feedback on this we will let you know.
