Hi there,

I notice from the diagrams of how to use your SPEED_CELL it points out that it should be pointing forwards. Is this crucial?

I have a SPEED_CELL but am yet to get compatible boots. I want to use the SPEED_CELL and was thinking of placing it on my clothing somewhere. However, this will mean that the cell is upright not horizontal like the diagram suggests it should be. Will it still work?

I don't want to attach the cell to my laces on my boots in case it gets damaged.

  • Hi AndyWhyteUK,

    Thanks for the post.

It is important how you place the SPEED_CELL as this can affect the data accuracy.

I undestand it isn't optimal to wear the SPEED_CELL on the shoe lace when playing Football. However, I'd like to inform you that wearing the SPEED_CELL on the shoe laces using the lace clip or in the cavity of miCoach compatible shoes will allow for highest level of data accuracy. If it is used in any other way than recommended (with lace clip or in cavity), adidas does not guarantee the same level of data accuracy.

    Thanks,

  • @AndyWhiteUK, you need to get the SPEED_CELL as close to being in the cavity of an F50 as possible. There is a video on youtube where some guy has cut out a cavity in his shinpad and placed the cell in there. Make sure you oriantate the SPEED_CELL as instructed in the video, BUT place the SPEED_CELL as low (close to your foot) as possible. See the comments on the youtube page for how well it works. I'm was going to try it tonight but my game got cancelled. Rubbish. Let us know how it works if you give it a try.
