I thought my mobile app was off the rails this morning. It reported I was slower than my almost all of my zones...wonder if something isn't wrong back at the mother ship.

I have noticed this too. After I recorded my max speed of 33.3 km/h I haven't been even close to that speed ever since.
Another issue that I find very strange is the graph you get when you assign new data. Here, I often see that my max speed for the specific workout has been over 25 km/ or over 30 km/h and so on, but when I assign this data and look at the summary, it can for example tell me that my max speed was just about 22 km/h. (and yes I did mark the section with the highest speed when I assigned it).
I would appreciate it if the micoach team could explain this to us!
Regards.
Hi Guys,
Thanks for the post.
Sorry to hear that the max. speed has been dropped off.
Can I ask you few questions regarding this issue?
@vuyosingiswa: Which miCoach App (normal miCoach App, Tennis, Football, Running or Basketball App) are you using? Would it be possible for you to post your workout result so that I can have a look?
@Kristian R: Could you please send an email over to our support team using Contact Us regarding change of max. speed when cropping the data with the following details?
Thanks,
SportySpider1

I have the SPEED_CELL in my compatible F50. I have been using it since 19th of January, so the battery should not be the issue.
In addition: I assign the data using my PC. Always. About the screenshots, this could take a while, it's not always like that. Why do you have to see it yourself when I tell you that's the way it is. I am 100 percent certain it has shown a higher speed before cropping than it does after I have cropped it with the highest speed included.
Hi KristianR,
Thanks for posting and for your honest feedback.
As a first solution, we always recommend to check the SPEED_CELL battery since its draining can cause issues when the SPEED_CELL is collecting data. Sometimes batteries drain while the device is in stock or they react different depending on weather conditions, that is why we always offer the advice as first step to take.
Regarding the screenshoots. It is not that we do not believe what you are saying, on the contrary, your continuous feedback help us. However, the screenshots are always good as references and our developers use them to take a look into all details so they can have more information about every case. Each issue is assessed differently and extra information always come handy. As SportySpider1 mentioned above, if you have this issue we would really appreciate if you could contact our Support Team (support@micoach.com). When you write them, please let them know which version of SPEED_CELL you have (PC/Mac or iPod/iPhone), the specification of the device you use to sync (if it is PC/Mac, please let them know which one is it and its OS; if it is iPod/iPhone, the generation and iOS) and when possible attach the screenshots of the data before and after cropping. Finally, mention where do you place your SPEED_CELL when working out, on the cavity or shoe laces. One of our agents will contact you soon.
Thanks for your understanding and your patience.

Here is the data (Max speed 22) before cropping. Once cropped the speed drops to 21...

My SPEED_CELL won't show its battery status. It just shows: Battery Level: -
What does this mean?
Same with me mate, and it's done that speed drop thing again
Sorry for such a late reply.
I use my speed_cell with my micoach f50's. I've only been using them since late January probably three times a week at most. Hopefully it's just the battery I'll have to check the next time I use them.
Hello again I've changed the battery and used the speed_cell again and still my speed seems to be off as i'm still sprinting at a pace equal to when I recorded my top speed. Also, like everybody else in this thread it seems, I'm experiencing the drop off after cropping as well, just then I uploaded my data and it was at 26-27km/h and when i cropped it went to 24-25km/h. This is occured before both when using the iphone soccer app and the pc/mac method as well. I did not crop out the fastest speed as I made sure to include it and even when I look at the graph the spike is still there yet the speed has dropped.
Hi isaacx,
Thanks for posting.
In this case, please contact our Support Team (support@micoach.com). When you do it, if possible please add the screenshots of before and after cropping the data so the speed difference is visible. Also, let them know the generation and iOS of your iPhone. One of our agents will contact you soon.

I have noticed the same thing. More than 5 km off per hour. I also have the cell in my f50s. My shoes were purchased at the end of Dec. I use them 4 days per week. I will check the battery.....can a battery really cause a drop in speed measurment?
Yes and before I show data my speed is sometimes 2 to 3 km/hour paster than once I crop the data. This is really frustrating.
Hi Henry Whitlock,
Thanks for posting.
Regarding the first point, it has been noticed that in some cases a drained battery can cause issues with the SPEED_CELL data, that is why we suggest this as a first step. Also, as SportySpider1 mentioned, it would be worth if you could tell us please where do you normally place the SPEED_CELL, on the shoe cavity or on the shoe laces of if you place it somewhere else.
Finally, if you see a difference in your speed before and after cropping the data I would appreciate if you can recreate the issue and then contact our Support Team (support@micoach.com). When you do it, please let them know which version of SPEED_CELL you have (for PC/Mac or iPhone/iPod) and the specifications of the device you use to sync (if it is PC/Mac let them know which one is it and its OS and if it is iPhone/iPod, please indicate the generation and iOS). Also, please include the screenshots of the data before and after cropping. One of your agents will contact you soon.

Hi Henry Whitlock,
Thanks for the screenshot.
Both screenshots you've attached in this thread, however are the data before cropping. Would it be possible for you to post the screenshot of this workout data after cropping so that I can compare and pass them onto our web developers to have them look into it?
Your kind patience and cooperation are very much appreciated.
Thanks,

Mine's doing exactly the same , a drop in pace.
Also, I question the effectivesness of the speed cell in me adizero's.
The quickest speed i've measured up after 3 times is 15.3 mph. I believe this to be a lot slower than i thought it'd be as I've ran county standard for 200m and can run a time of 22.6 seconds. Surely my speed should be more than this? It's very frustrating.
The only thing I can think of is that because I'm 6''2 my strides are very long, therefore my foot to ground impact will be less over a distance than others. Does the speed cell work in that way? I wouldn't have thought so though...
Also does the speed cell judge the speed better in short bursts or over an elongated distance.
Thanks!
Hi Jazz1992,
Thanks for the post - this does seem a bit slow.
I would recommend in your case to log a ticket with support. Let them know the issue and the product you are using. If you are using the Football App then please attach screenshots from the App workout and then also screenshots from the workout as it appears on the website.
If you use the CONNECT for PC/Mac then please also attach the log files from the miCoach Manager. They are normally found here (User home folder)\adidas\miCoach Manager\logs\debug.log
The stride length shouldn't make a big difference as long as you have entered your correct height in your personal data on the website. The system then know how long your stride is and will count the strides along with the determined distance between to measure the distance and then it knows you covered this in a certain time and this allows the speed to be calculated.
I hope this helps answer at least this question. The support team will help you out with the other things.
Cheers and all the best.

I am trying to find any advise here unsuccesfully, as I have same problem with dropping my speed by approx 5km/hr. I did race with my mate and was faster one, anyway his max speed was 29 and mine 23. Its annoying, please advise. Petr
Hi langi79,
Thanks for the post.
Sorry to hear that your max.speed drops by approximately 5km/hr and got even less max. speed than your mate even though you were faster.
Regarding this issue, I'd kindly like to ask you to send an email over to our support team using Contact Us page with the following details as they can give you one to one support and help you further to sort out your issue:

Speed problem
I have a speed cell that I'm happy with but I have a question about a problem I've noticed that I get up my speed results. When I load up the results I get examples up to now that I have achieved a speed of 31.28 km / h but then when I save my training and everything, it becomes a different outcome in this case 30.6 km / h and it is a speed I came up to the same training. The problem is that I have not the maximum speed displayed correctly and this is not the first time. why is it so? you begin to wonder if it is so with all other results that may be displayed wrong.
Hi Salibaa,
thanks for posting.
About your issue, I would really appreciate if you could contact our Support Team (support@micoach.com). When you do it, please describe your issue and attach screenshots of the speeds you are receiving. Also, please let them know which type of SPEED_CELL do you have and if you have the iPhone/iPod version, the generation and iOS of it. Finally, describe if you did/edited something just before syncing your workout with the website. One of our agents will contact you soon.
Thanks for your cooperation,
