miCoach to Vitality Points

Anyone know how I can submit my miCoach workouts to Discovery Vitality to get points? Please help. Thanx

    Hi Ndimu,

     

    I don't know if you are going to get an answer here with this - I can check with some guys here in the office but I've never heard about any collaboration and I don't even know what type of data you would need.

     

    I would suggest contacting the health insurer and asking them to see if the stats from miCoach workouts are applicable.

     

    As I said, I will check things out here but I'm not too hopeful about getting a quick answer.

     

    If you find anything out then let us know as this might be handy for anyone else with similar questions.

    as far as I know, this functionality will launch in April 2012 - so will be available in 2 months time?

      Hi Rags,

       

      Thanks for the update. I passed this to my bosses to find out more information but I haven't heard back from them yet.

       

      Let us know when it goes live and what type of information they need and what benefits they offer when you register your miCoach workouts.

       

      If I hear anything from our end I'll let you know.

        Hey there

        It is definately mid april that the integration is planned for. ONce live, you will  be able to link your micoach account with your discovery vitality account and the 2 systems will be able to communicate wiht each other. So basically you will be able to earn 200 points for a workout with you micoach on vitality.

         

        but discovery will send out communication closer to the time outlining the exact steps

          That is good news, it is always great to be rewarded for keeping fit and healthy.

          Discovery really know how to do it properly.

           

          I am wondering if they will be doing the same for their UK based operation "Pruprotect"

           

          They offer the same vitality plugins to give you discounted gym contracts, healthy food and holidays.

           

          Would be nice to have an international vitality fitness community through Micoach.

    I sent a mail to Discovery asking the same question and here's the reply that I got back today:

     

    'The Adidas miCoach device will be introduced as part of the Vitality offering and members will be able to earn points for using it. This is still under development and should become available later in the year. '

     

    Looks like it's still going to be a while.

      Hi All

       

      I see there is a link under How to Earn points section called "MiCoach" with an option to input Micoach login email address although it gives an error so they will get it up and running hopefully sooner than later. The last communication was that they delayed it till the middle of May.

    I am in the UK and trying to connect my account to PruHealth but the submit button is not even working! Have emailed them to find out what it going on but as it is the weekend I don't expect an answer any time soon.

     

    Have there been any updates ?

    I too recently have got Pruhealth and signed up to micoach. I can't seem to find the vitality sharing option under sharing.

     

    Does anyone know if this has been developed yet?

      It's finally available here in South Africa with Discovery Health, I registered with them a few days ago. Not sure about PruHealth ??

        Been using MiCoach HRM and iphone app for a few months now and successfully collecting Pru protect UK Vitality points - should hit silver this week!

        can help if anyone still struggling...

          Hello Considered1,

           

          Would benefit from some help. I enter my email address on the PruHealth vitality site and it just says 'Entity Not Found' there is also nothing in my miCoach Sharing that mentions Pruhealth or Vitality. How did you get yours working, so far PruHealth have just ignored my request for help.

    I am trying to link my Discovery Vitality, South Africa, and miCoach but following the instructions on both sites is not helping at all. I do not see the place on the discovery page where i cam enter my email address, they refer and also on the miCoach page i cannot find the place where it refers to a 3rd party...

     

    Can ANYONE please help me because I have workouts, and points, going wasted, because the accounts are not linked.

        I am also having this problem, there is no link on the discovery page to enter you micoach email address/log in details for the account to be linked.

      When you're logged into the Discovery website, you go to the vitality Tab at the top of the page. Click on the "Gym and fitness" link under "Improve your Health" Heading. Then you look for the "Micoach" item under the "Fitness devices". Click "view". Then click "Get started". Right at the bottom of that page you will see the space where you must put your e-mail address. hope this helps.

        It's a poor show from Adidas.  No reply after submitting a ticket.  Even after I emailed them several times they just replied they were looking into it.  I think 2 months is long enough.  It's a con!

            Sorry for the inconvenience. Could you please check again the Sharing settings here at the website and see if a connection appears? If it shows pending, please confirm the link to both accounts.

             

            If nothing shows and you still don't have any update I would appreciate if you can contact Support again because then we have to check your case again. When you do it, please provide this code so we can track the case "SCM - your miCoach username - SD" and mention you already contacted Support.

              It seems Discovery doesnt provide the correct details to sign up or its not working. I registerd on micoach and love the app, works so well, but when I go to the Discovery website, there isnt an option to register my micoach account. So i assumed it automatically picks it up, but when i got back to the micoach website, there isnt a list of “3rd party” applications. This is the steps below: (I see the nike app works well but i prefer this one)

               

              Simply register your miCoach device online (following the steps below) and you can start earning points for your workout.

              If you already have a miCoach device and account and would like to connect your miCoach account with Vitality, go straight to step 2. If you are new to miCoach and would like to activate your miCoach device and account begin at Step 1.

              Step 1: Go to www.micoach.com and create your miCoach account.

              Step 2: Once you have created your account, visit www.discovery.co.za to connect your Vitality membership with your miCoach account by entering the same email address you used to activate your account on the miCoach website.

              Step 3: Please visit www.micoach.com and login and confirm the connection. Once you are logged in, select “Vitality” from the list of “3rd party” applications.

              Step 4: Once the connection is confirmed, Vitality will award Vitality points based on workout data received from miCoach.

               

              Can someone please help me with this!

                Please follow the steps below to link your miCoach and Vitality accounts:

                1. 1.     Login to the Discovery website
                2. 2.     Go to the vitality Tab at the top of the page
                3. 3.     Click on the "Gym and fitness" link under "Improve your Health”
                4. 4.     Look for "miCoach" under "Fitness devices." Click "view" then "Get started"
                5. 5.     There should be a space to enter your email address

                 

                  After completing these steps, login to micoach.com and go to the Sharing page. There should be an option to confirm the connection
