This thread is intended to collect customer feature requests and to determine priorities for getting new features into the mobile app. Please take a moment to describe the feature in enough detail for other forum readers to understand the merits.

If you see a feature you enjoy using but would change a bit, go right ahead.

It's also important to get a feel for how often you would use this feature. Sometimes a really cool feature that is used infrequently could get passed over for a not-as-cool feature that is used everyday.

Have fun, be creative and let's all work together to make miCoach mobile the perfect training companion for your phone.

  • Would like to chart a course on the web, then sync with blackberry or iPhone.  goal would be to have the GPS in the phone guide me through the route.

This would be especially useful if trying new routes, or if training in a different town/city that we are unfamiliar with.  Just like a car GPS, I want to be told where to go.

  • Similar to the above post, another feature in the same category that I would love to see would be "public routes" e.g. being able to share and discover running routes locally as well as all around the world. This would make it perfect for those who travel a lot or those which want to discover new routes nearby.

  • 1. Multitasking in iOS4. Nuff said.

    2. GPS signal improvement: Other GPS running applications don't have the GPS issues in this application. I know this is more of a fix to a feature, but this is needed for some additional feature request to work properly.

    3. Route recording on the phone: Not only should you be able to setup a route on the web, but you should be able to start and record a new route on the phone using GPS and then start that route again at a later date to compare against your previous runs. This feature is available in other similar applications and is quite nice. #2 needs to happen before this can work properly however.

    4. Adding routes online and being able to use them on the phone. This has been stated here and in other forums, but I wanted to make sure it was on the list.

    5. Daily or Weekly weight values: Track and graph any weight loss associated with training.

    6. Remove the custom lock screen: Leaving the miCoach lock screen on drains the battery, which is fixed by locking it again. However, I then have to unlock the screen and then unlock the app mid run. I'm sure some people like always seeing a status, so perhaps an area in Settings to deactivate this feature. (Maybe I missed it and it exists).

  • I want to second your #2 and #6: Much higher priority than any new bells and whistles is functional GPS.

  • Thought of another one-- when finishing a workout, if you select "Save & Sync to miCoach", when it finishes syncing, it complains that there's no uploaded Pacer data yet, so it has no heart-rate info.

This is a little bit annoying: I haven't uploaded any Pacer data, because I've just finishing my workout and have just taken off my arm-band and I'm nowhere near a computer.  I don't really want to read 8 lines of tiny text on my phone just at this moment telling me that.

  • So you are running the iphone app and the pacer together?

  • As mentioned at this post (http://forum-micoach.adidas.com/message/7341#7341), the 'Fine Tune GPS' feature from BiMActive is essential for me.  In particular, the ability to trim stationary time at the start and end of a workout.  By the time I pack my phone away safely in my pocket (while putting on gloves, zipping up my jacket, etc.), I can lose a minute or so at each end.

  • I would also like to be able to separate my achievements and stats by type.  I walk, run and cycle, but at present they are all lumped in together.  It would be great to be able to view a separate history of each transport mode.  This is very important for me.

  • I use a separate heart rate monitor and would like to be able to enter, at the very least, my average and maximum heart rate manually for each workout.  This is a feature I would use much of the time.

  • On my iPhone I have a list view where I can see the time per km (splits min/km).

On the site miCoach I cannot find this list.

Please add this to the website.

    Regards

    Erik

  • As well as agreeing with the above requests I think that one thing that all products of this type could so with is being able to sync your workout time slot into your phone's calendar so that you can schedule the correct amount of time.

  • It's called Pace, and you can choose  between Pace (time/km) and Speed (kmh) under Settings.

  • Yes I know about this view, but it's not what I mean.

I ment a list like this:

    KM 1: 7:04     Time: 00:07:04

    KM 2: 6:55     Time: 00:13:59

    KM 3: 6:31     Time: 00:20:30

    KM 4: 6:08     Time: 00:26:38

    ...

  • As mentioned above, i would love to be able to cut stationary time.
