I'd like to know whether miCoach measures calories or kilocalories. It seems really strange that after 147 kilometers and almost 17 hours of running I have "only" 13883 calories burned. 1 kilogram of white bread has 2400 calories. And if you read articles like "5 seconds of kissing burns 12 calories" = 1,6 hours of kissing for burning 13883 calories... where is the truth?

  • One mile or 1.6 km of running is supposed to burn approximately 100 calories, so that makes sense.  The kissing, I don't think so!

      • If you want to get technical; that would be correct.  Most people think a calorie is a calorie and don't think about kcal, and obviously neither does adidas.

  • "Calorie" referred in dieting and nutrition is actually kilicalorie or kcal scientifically.

Even I was confused at first.

Running 1 mile using only 150 cal may make man look surprisingly efficient while actually it is 150,000 cal.

Comparable to claiming a car giving 150 miles per gallon while really it is only 15 miles per gallon car.
