Hi

 

I synched my SpeedCell with iPhone Football(Soccer) an everything looked fine on the phone app.

Stats: Distance 12 km, Active 1:45:32 total 2:35:35, Sprints 40, max speed 28.35 and so one....

But when i uploaded it to micoach.com the stats show: Active 00:00:02 total 02:35:35, Distance 2m, sprints 0, max speed 3.26

It basically says that i was inactive for 2 and a half hou:(

 

I tryed to delete the workout on the micoach page to reupload from my phone, but I couldent delete it(just got an error message)

 

Any idea of how to fix this

    Sorry to hear that the workout data on the App and the workout data on the web show differently.

     

    I would recommend you not to delete the workout data on the website so that our web guys can have look into it.

    • detailed description of your issue.
    • Screenshot of the workout data on the App as well as screenshot of the workout data on the website.

    • Today the same happened to me, however I managed to delete the training from the site (seeing your recommendations I regret that). Now although the training is on my phone but not on the site whenever I try to upload it (syncing again from within the app) nothing happens. The app tells me that the trainings are synced but the last one doesn't show on the site.

    I am sorry to hear about this issue.

     

    @Baikingu and @t0d0r, as you already realized, syncing from the website to the App is not possible and that is the reason why your app does not recognize that the workout was deleted and probably it is also why you cannot upload it again. But I agree it would be useful to have this feature if possible for the next app update. I will make sure to pass your suggestions to our App developers.

    • I am getting the same problem with the iPhone Tennis app (iPhone 4). The values uploaded to the website are different from those on the iPhone which makes them not a lot of use. Rallies have gone from 189 right down to 143 and the average speed has dropped. These are massively important figures when considering performance so at the moment this is useless really as it is the numbers that you analyse. Dont have much confidence when simple numbers cant be uploaded correctly.

       

      Surely sync'ing the same stats from the phone onto the website should not be too difficult worried this whole system is not going to be any use at all as I cant just leave them on my iPhone as it will fill up.

       

      Are we saying there is a fundamental software design problem when uploading data to the site whereby simple numbers are changed from their original values?

       

      This is pretty urgent as all workouts are probably a waste of time at the moment is there a fix going in for this?

          In answer to your questions:

           

          after  syncing the workout to the App, have you edited anything and then sync to the website? And if so what did you do.

           

          Yes, I clicked 'Edit' for the workout on the iPhone Tennis app then 'cropped' it by clicking 'Crop' after moving the sliders at both ends to remove a portion from the beginning and from the end before uploading it to the website.

           

          Finally I would appreciate if you could tell me the generation of your iPhone and its iOS.

          For what I can read, it is clear that you played a tennis match and that workout was the one that you synced to the App and then to the website, am I right? or by any chance did you do more a running type of workout and then you assigned as a Tennis workout?

           

          You are right, a tennis practice session with rallies played and then synced to the iPhone Tennis App (not a running type workout) where it was Cropped then uploaded to the website. Numerous stats seem to have gone through a random conversion to another number during this upload as the not only are the stats wrong on the website but also the rally distribution bar chart which is totally different to the correct one on the iPhone app. (One thing to note: after I Cropped the workout on the iPhone Tennis app it caused the app to close. I had to start it again to view the correctly Cropped workout.)

           

          The Tennis app is the one on the store yesterday.

           

          Workout stats emailed from iPhone app shown below. (There is no option to email the Profile barchart which is correct on the iPhone app but totally wrong when uploaded to the website)

              Is there also plans to let you delete individual workouts from the website and then when uploading the iPhone checking whether a workout it has exists on the website and uploading those on the phone that are not on the website (in case there was a problem during upload)? It would also be very useful if you could delete individual workouts from the iPhone instead of all of them (by pressing Reset).

               

              Also is there no way you can compare different workout stats on the website which you can do on the iPhone? Seems the wrong place to have this as all workouts are stored on the website eventually so there is more need for workout comparisons to be performed there than on the iPhone?

  • Hi i also got the same poblem my football stats are diffrent on the web site than on my phone, the web site says i have no stats at all where as my phone shows my sprits, % etc why is this and can i still retrive my stats from my phone onto the website

  • Yes, I had this problem too today. I played last night, everything looks fine on iPhone but online the date is incorrect, in a similar manner to Baikingu.

I found it better if you could contact support so you can manage to put all the images on a zip file so this thread does not turn that messy .

      I just uploaded tonight's workout without cropping it and the iPhone stats which look correct are totally different on the website after uploading. The Speedcell would not connect to the iPhone after the workout so I had to take out the battery and then place it back in and reset the iPhone before it would then sync to the iPhone. This isnt a good sign I think my Speedcell may be faulty.

       

      Please could you let me know from support whether there is a known software bug causing the upload fault or whether I have a faulty Speed_Cell? You will probably know this by now as simple testing by yourselves will confirm if you are getting the same corrupted data after upload on the website and that it is therefore a confirmable software bug. If you are not simulating the problem then I have a faulty unit and need to return it for a replacement.

       

      I am also hoping to order a Pacer to start training plans but am reluctant to until I know the Speedcell it works alongside is working and uploading stats ok which it isnt at the moment.

        thanks for posting. Your images and issue have been escalated to our App developers and we are still waiting for a resolution. Your patience is much appreciated. About your question, it is worthy to tell that not all the users are experiencing this issue and a part of solving the issue via de developers is trying to replicate what is happening in order to find a suitable solution. The issues are solved on a case-by-case basis and it might take a bit of time to solve.

         

        I assure you that as soon as I have an answer I will let you know.

        I'd like to assure you that we've created a case for you with all the details regarding your issue and passed it on to our web guys. Therefore, you don't need to log a ticket. If it's needed, our support team will get in contact with you.

         

        It's not your SPEED_CELL that is faulty. It looks like there is a bug when transferring data from App to the website. We've seen small number of users facing this issue. Our web guys are looking into it.

         

        We'll update you as soon as we get some information from them.

         

        Regarding SPEED_CELL not connecting to the iPhone after the workout, I'd like to ask you some question:

         

        You've once already set your SPEED_CELL as default device, right? So when you try synching your SPEED_CELL after a workout, does the App say that the SPEED_CELL can't be detected? If so, please check the following steps:

         

        • Make sure that your SPEED_CELL is within range (within 10 meters but not closer than 6 inches from the CONNECT for iPhone/iPod and that the SPEED_CELL is activated (shake it for few seconds as it can be activated by movement).
        • Remove and re-connect the CONNECT for iPhone/iPod. Try this few times.
        • Close the Tennis App completely. (Close the Tennis App and double click on iPhone home button. Hold on the Tennis App icon until it starts shaking and minus symbol appears on the App icon. Click on minus symbol to close the App completely).

         

        I also would like to let you know that our engineers are working on stability of sport App performance. They've recently updated the Football App to improve the performance and they're planning to update Tennis, Running and Basketball Apps as well. I'll let you know once the updated version of the Tennis App is available.

          I have performed the operations in all of the bullet points before at different points when the Tennis App said the SPEED_CELL can't be detected. Today it synced some matches without having to do this it is very spurious.

           

          The upload difference in stats on the website occurs every time now though so it is a much more urgent issue and there is no workaround for it. Would appreciate the devs looking at the stability of the Tennis App for uploads as can't really use the system currently. Would be good as mentioned above if an enhancement could be added to allow individual workouts to be deleted from the iPhone. Also when deleting workouts from the website hoping enhancement can be added to re-upload the same iPhone workout again.

           

          Think the ability to 'split' workouts for Tennis would be v good. Three matches today didnt have much break in between them so the SPEED_CELL stored them and they were synced as just one workout/match. If you could split these into the 3 matches to get the stats from each it would be great. This would mean the website simulating the calculations on the data that the SPEED_CELL performs to regenerate the 3 sets of stats from each split off match. This is a nice to have the upload issue is the urgent problem though.

            As for the ability to split the Tennis workouts I also think it can be a very useful addition. Specially if when you finish the matches you really don't stop since walking to the resting area or even to the dressing rooms is still recorded. I will pass your suggestion to our developers.

            • Thanks for the update MissTennis1, I also have further info below.

               

              I used a different iPhone with a clean install of the Tennis App to sync and upload the most recent workout. This iPhone is a different operating system, 3GS (other is iPhone 4). I did not edit then crop the workout. A bug I noticed on this iPhone version, 3GS is that the timeline was blank showing no activity to crop after clicking edit so I skipped the edit. Maybe this happens if there are several workouts close together, as with this one, that combine into one and it exceeds a timeline limit, I dont know?

               

              The SPEED_CELL was recognised straight away by the iPhone when adding the device and when sync'ing (SPEED_CELL around 2 inches from iPhone both on a flat static surface) all went smoothly and one workout appeared on the iPhone. Also the upload performed without any connection issues.

               

              On uploading to the website the stats are totally different to those on the iPhone so this means the upload bug is independant of iPhone version.

               

              Is there an update on when the fix will be in for the Tennis App for this stats bug during upload? All workouts so far are going to need deleting from the website as the figures are totally wrong so the device is of no use until this fix goes in.

               

              I can appreciate your professional approach as I have also worked on ICT support as a dev. In order to keep customers on side there needs to be a bug fix for this imminently as regardless of your customer skills the issue remains for weeks now after reading other comments which indicates either the SLA's are lax are none existent for this product.as the bug is a showstopper making the device useless currently. If you could give an idea of a target release date for a bug fix that would at least give customers confidence the bug is being considered with the highest urgency.

  • I too have the problem with the stats being changed (the most frustrating for me is the Total Calores Burned number) during the sync/upload to the website. 

    If it helps the support team to track this down (and it happens fairly regularly @ ~50% of the time), they can go into my account and look at my spinning workouts from 3/20, 3/24, 3/27, 3/31, 4/1, 4/3, 4/7, 4/12, 4/17, 4/28, 5/1, 5/6, 5/12, and 5/24.  I usualy make note of the total calories # and add them as a text note, or just remember the number in my head.

     

    Also, on a semi-related note... I have a huge problem with data/signal dropout from the Speed Cell (it works fine most of the time, but it will occasionally just stop sending data (usually in 10-60 second increments).  I am going to try changing out the batteries, switching shoe placement, etc.

     

    That said, I still love the product, and KNOW that it helps me to give my best effort during the cardio classes.

When you do it, please let them now as you did here the exact dates of the workouts with the wrong calories and if possible a couple of screenshots of it, from your App and the Web so our developers can see the comparison between them.

       

      About the SPEED_CELL, yes, it is a good idea to change battery and I would recommend to place it in the shoe laces. Give it a try and if it does not work, please let support know as well.

      • I completely agree with Costikos (see the message that he posted earlier today/yesterday).  The programmers should NOT need screen captures from the iPhone app - since they should be able to compare the "bad" workouts that I identified in my message vs. the "good" workouts (all of my other workouts).  It should be relatively easy to view the data you have stored in your online databases, to determine why the calculations are recorded incorrectly online (or converted during the upload process).  Am I missing something here??

  • I have also had a couple of these recently, with the Soccer App, but only since they were updated recently.

     

    It gets the time correct - 02:39:01, but all the other stats are way off, and the display on the micoach website appears to only show the first 2 mins - and the stats could be reflecting this.

     

    It's quite annoying, as according to the App I set a record speed today of 37.46 kph, but the website only says I did 4.5kph!

     

    This happened earlier this week, but I did erase it from the website and tried to re-sync, but I had not seen this post yet!

     

    Is there any update on why this happens?

When you write them, please describe as you did here what is happening with your stats and attach the screenshots from the App and the website so they can be compared. Also, let them know which generation is your iPhone/iPod and its iOS. Finally, describe what did you do after syncing the SPEED_CELL. Did you edited something and if so, what it was.       • I am having the same issue with with calories burned.  The calories burned on the android, I don't think are accurate.  How can I make sure that they are accurate?  All other sites I search are alot higher in calories burned then the androud app.  Any suggestions?

    i do have the same problem as well. On my iphone the stats and data are fine, but when i upload them on the websit then they are altered.
    i see no reason having to copy/paste pictures of the problem since i have read taht many people are facing the same exactly problem. it is obvious that there is a problem when the app connects with the website in order to upload the data.
    what i think that you need to take under consideration is the fact that there was an update of the soccer app which was released last week. the problems seem to started last week as well, so i would assume that there is something wrong with the app while it contacts the website.

However, I would like to invite you to write to our Support Team (support@micoach.com) so our developers can investigate the issue further. If you decide to do so, please let them know which App are you using and in case it is the Football App if you already have the updated version or not. Also, send the screenshots from the App and the website so the comparison is visible and if possible please let them know the following information:

       

      1. Before syncing the workout to the App, have you edited something? Did you cropped your workout? And if you edited something, what did you do?
      2. Generation of your iPhone and its iOS
      3. Did you do  a running type of workout and then you assigned as another workout?

      • First of all let me thank you for your prompt and professional reply Miss Tennis1,

         

        now back to our issue. i will not email the dev support team for the following reasons:
        1. last time i emailed them it took them forever to reply and i am still waiting for a reply
        2. the problem does not come down to an indivudual user but is a general issue that seems to trouble all the users all the majority of them
        3. as i have stated on my previous reply, it seems that the problem occurs when the app is trying to communicate/transfer the data to the website. at that phase it seems like somothing is going wrong at the process. i also mentioned taht everything started to happen when i downlaoded the new version of the soccer/football app

         

        at this point let me say that its a real shame, having shuch a technology like the speedcell etc but not really being able to use it due to software problems. also the other serious issue taht the developer team is still struggling with it, is the synchronization issue between speedcell and iphone. most of the times the user has to try several attemps until the synchronization completes.

         

        Adidas is my favorite brand, and i am aloyal customer. but as of lately i am becoming a very unsatisfied and frustrated customer. i expected adidas not to have such a problem resolving issues.....

    začala jsem běhat s IPhonem, nastavovací běh mi proběhl v pořádku, ale jinak další běhy už mi moc neměří, vždy je problém s připojením na začátku a pak když už se IPhone chytne a odběhnu běh, ukáže mi maximalně rychlos, ale při posledním běhu už mi to neukázalo nic. Hlas mi nakonec běhu řekne NIce job, ale to je všechno, dám pak synchronizovat a nahrát do IPhonu a pak už mi vše zmizí, nevíte někdo co s tím?

  • Same problem here. Football App shows correct data and website looks nothing like it. E-mailed technical support 9 days ago still waiting for a response. Last problem I had took them 4 weeks to reply so I'm not holding my breath. Adidas needs to put some resources into this to get it sorted. Not real good for consumer confidence.

  • This happens almost 2/3 of the time. I submitted a ticket.

     

    MissTennis1, thank you for your support, it's not really up to you, I know you're doing your best.

     

    This issue seems to be very common it makes the app unusable. I strongly hope to be able to reupload trainings with the next update.

     

    Because of the time it probably will take to fix this issue (there're terms for approving an app in the appstore, also the time needed to locate and squash teh bug) I've done the following thing wich seems to be working for now and indicates that this bug is presented only in the latest version.

    Delete the app - you are going to lose all your trainings in the app (including the bad ones which I hope we would be able to reupload when the update comes up) and avatar progress, download .ipa file from internet of the old version and install it using iTunes, use it instead the new one. This way when the update is release hopefully you would be able to preserve part of your workouts. Other possibility is to sync using your PC/Mac.

    • This is ridiculous to be honest as this has been a known problem for a loooooooooong time it isnt as if it slightly affects use of the SPEED_CELL, it absolutely makes it unusable. Why was this product not tested before release?

       

      Are we ok to ask for refunds as I am not happy acting as a tester for this product and am not confident there is anyone working on this still. All that seems to have changed is the forum finds this thread hard to find and my login seems to be disabled from logging in my iPhone to do the uploads. Suppose this gets rid of the problem the stats upload with incorrect values as I am now prevented from uploading at all as my login is disabled from the iPhone. (Errorlogging in: Unknown error)

        • Have you updated the Tennis App that has been released yesterday? If not, please update the Tennis App and check if you're still experiencing this issue. If you've already updated the Tennis App, has this issue with log in happening since update?
        • Can you log in on the miCoach website?
        • Screenshot of the error you get on your iPhone when logging in.

          Thanks for the reply. I have sent the iPhone speedcell back for a refund or exchange for the PC version as I'm afraid I dont have time to test the iPhone product for you.

           

          In principle it is a great device but if it is unusable and requires hours of my attention to help you perform UAT'ing that should have been done before then I would rather opt out. I look forward to using the PC version which I believe is much more stable.

            This is very worrisome.  I am hoping that I can avoid this problem by simply not syncing from my phone and syncing from the usb/pc. I wonder if that would have solved ChrisHays problem.

             

            I bought the iphone speed cell and then I bought the dongle separately 20 bucks instead of buying an entirely separate one (I had to get it from some guy in the UK -- why the dongles aren't sold separately I don't understand). 

             

            QUESTION: Does any of the help here know if the data or anything else poses a problem if the upload is done just from the usb?  If that is the case then I will use the iphone/adapter just for portability and on the fly stats, but then when I get home update the website with the data from the usb.  I just don't want to overwrite good data with bad...so I am thinking that as long as I don't sync from the iphone all will be good?  I haven't paired it with my iphone yet, and I guess am not going to yet -- apparently now for good reason.

             

            Oh and why aren't the dongles sold individually?  That baffles me.

              • I thought I wouldn't have problems with a USB sync, and perhaps it is a dead battery already or something, but with just my 4th workout, mine didn't even record my workout -- not sure how that didn't happen as it is attached to my shoe...kind of disappointing to look forward to some stats to find that an entire strenuous workout wasn't even recorded...

                • Thanks for a reply.  I will try when I get home. I would love for it to be able to somehow retrieve what I would imagine would have to be in there somewhere, of course, my partners from the giddyup was working flawlessly. I got them together, and he has countless workouts that I get to 'follow' to my measly 3 which kind of works I guess because it seems like if I decrease his by 30%, the numbers tend to be around correct Not sure if that means I am making him work harder than me, or if I am not working as hard because I am not moving.

                   

                  I wish it could count footsteps. That is key in tennis, footwork and movement of the feet to be on toes. Do you think that could be an enhancement? Or maybe it is and I just cannot find it.  In tennis, pros move their feet on average 12-15+ times between strokes, whereas club players move only something like 8-10 and college 10-12 on average.  Those are solid numbers to use as benchmarks. That would be an awesome marker.

                  • Yeah, it doesn't work anymore.  I cannot believe how complicated every aspect of this has become, from syncing, to recording, to even replacing the battery, to finding the error log or even this damned forum, to what else...I am a programmer and can understand an initial rollout, but this is really something else. I did follow the steps in your post, and I did follow the steps to removing the battery and everything else. Nothing.

                     

                    I guess I will have to send an email to support (I think that is where I'm supposed to send something) and try to hope for the best.  Won't think there is any hope, why the data isn't recorded is ridiculous -- aside from the hours of training and performance to see results, its even worse when you have to come home and spend multiple hours to try to figure out what is wrong to no avail.  pffft, it is a waste on many levels.  I guess I will look forward to returning it as I really don't have the motivation to try it yet again.

                • Okey dokey, this morning I gave it one last test try before returning.  As I said, I really want to like this.

                   

                  I GOT IT TO WORK. Here is what I found in my case:

                   

                  I was wondering if it was perhaps because it was attached to my shoelaces which I supposed could have loosened (I don't have Adidas brand shoes with the slot), so I thought I would attach it somewhere that it could register hits, or steps or whatever.  It was fine for 3 workouts, but maybe these last two workouts, the shoelaces loosened early so took a guess at maybe this being the cause. I put it in a tight spot in my shoe, so I went for a short walk/jog for a couple blocks and came back and there was a workout uploaded correctly.

                   

                  I don't know if this was mentioned anywhere, if it was i apologize, but if it was, is not easy to find.  Check where your speed_cell is attached and make sure it is in a spot where it can register vibration, some firm hits.  I 'believe' that is what it needs to record a session. So there you have it.  I am going to try again tonight to record a real session.

                    I'm glad to hear that you got it working after trying many things and appreciate your effort and patience.

                     

                    I don't think the issue was caused by wearing it on the shoe lace as the SPEED_CELL can be placed either in the midsole cavity of the miCoach compatible shoes or on a shoe lace using lace clip. I also always wear it on my shoe lace and it's working great.

                     

                    As you said you don't have the miCoach compatible shoes where you can inser the SPEED_CELL. So exactly how/where did you put the SPEED_CELL in your shoe? Did you put inside your shoe under your foot? Please do not step on the SPEED_CELL directly as this may damage the SPEED_CELL. The miCoach compatible shoes has special cavity to protect the SPEED_CELL. So if you don't have miCoach compatible shoes, it's still better to wear on the shoe lace.

                     

                    Wearing the SPEED_CELL on the shoe laces using the lace clip or in the cavity of miCoach compatible shoes will allow for highest level of data accuracy.  If it is used in any other way than recommended (with lace clip or in cavity), adidas does not guarantee the same level of data accuracy.

                     

                    For wearing the SPEED_CELL on your laces:

                     

                    • Make sure to tie the shoe lace tight so that the SPEED_CELL doesn't flap.
                    • Wear the device as far down on the laces as possible (towards the tip of your toe).
                    • Place the device in a position on top of your shoe with the device lying as horizontal as possible.

                     

                    Regarding footsteps, I'd like to inform you that the SPEED_CELL can measure stride rate (steps per minute). You can find stride rate information of a Tennis workout, when you go to Track> Journal:

    Im starting to lose my mind, tried my new speed cell for the first time today and everything seemed fine until I noticed all the stats are just zeroes...why!?

    I have synched a numerous times now and I get the "graph-view" after the sync but as soon as I save my exersise it says 0 everywhere.Please help me

    I did a workout over 2 years ago now.. stop using the thing because a workout logged as though i did it on the 19th Aug 2235... like HUH? now i cant see all my previous ones and now i really want to start using my pacer again but i need to get the date changed or something before i just throw the whole lot away :/

      Regarding the workout saved on the wrong date issue, please make sure that the Pacer is well charged before going out for the workout. Also sync your Pacer right away after the workout before charging your Pacer. This can help to prevent this issue from happening again.

       

      Please send an email over to our support team using Contact Us page with the correct date of that workout as they can change the date of your workout in the data base system.

       

      I'd appreciate if you could write "SCM - Emmylou2- Forum" as a subject title in the first line so that I can follow up on it with our support team.
