Hi,

 

My Micoach Manager cannot detect speed cell. Battery is new, within a few cm from connect. When I insert connect into my PC a message appears:

Can anyone help? What can I do?

  • I get this everytime I connect as well. Contacted support and:

    They told me I have had me uninstall and manually install drivers, restart computer, etc... and to no avail.

    They told me not put Cell too close to Connect (more than a foot or two, but less that 10m).

    They told me to restart my computer

    They told me to  shake the device

     

    It still always says its off, it still never shows battery life, I've tried synching around 30 times on different computers and only succesfully synched 2 workouts (randomly worked the next day, now not working again)

     

    I've gotten:

    -Sync Error

    -Error code #1001

    -Error code #4050

     

    When I read reviews on the website about this product it was all smiles...are reviews being filtered? If not, I believe we should all leave a word... because I definitely feel misled about what this product does (vs. what it supposedly does)

    Thanks for the post.

     

    We've noticed that few users with Windows 7 are getting this error message even though the driver is installed correctly.

     

    Could you please run the miCoach manager program and plug in the CONNECT and see if the antenna transmission turns to green? If so, this means the CONNECT is installed properly and is recognized by the manager. So you can try synching your SPEED_CELL. If the antenna is gray, remove and and try connecting it again using different USB ports.

    When you try synching your SPEED_CELL:

     

    • Make sure that the SPEED_CELL is within range (within 10 meters but not closer than 6 inches from the CONNECT for PC/Mac) and that the SPEED_CELL is activated (shake it for few seconds as it can be activated by movement).

    • In my case the Green antenna indicator is on, i shake the SpeedCell, then Sync Error, Sync Error, Sync Error, then it looks like it tries synching "Connecting to miCoach web" then Error #1001

          If the antenna indicator is green but the manager can't detect your SPEED_CELL, please try the following steps:

           

          • Make sure that the SPEED_CELL is within range (within 10 meters but not closer than 6 inches from the CONNECT for PC/Mac) and that the SPEED_CELL is activated (shake it for few seconds as it can be activated by movement).
          • Select "Show ignored devices" and click on "refresh list" on the manager.
          • Exit the manager completely. (Right click on "Mi" icon in the taskbar and go to Quit and exit the manager completely. Run the manager program again and try. If the SPEED_CELL still can't be detected, try the step above again.
          • Replace the battery. If you've already replaced the battery, open the back cover and take out the battery for few minutes and place again. Make sure that the battery is inserted correctly (don't put the battery directly into the SPEED_CELL but into the back cover "+" sign facing in the back cover) and close it properly.

        Regarding error 1001, please check the following steps:

         

        • make sure that you have an Internet connection on your computer. Also close other programs that are running on your computer and try.
        • Try on different computer and see if this issue occurs.

         

        If the issue still persists, please send an email over to our support team using Contact Us page (or support@micoach.com) along with your log files that can be found in the following location:

         

        Windows XP/Vista/7 & Mac OS X: <User's home folder>\adidas\miCoach Manager\logs\debug.log

            We would appreciate your patience on this. Normally, support is quite quick answering the incoming emails. I checked in our system and I can see you contacted one of our agents. If you are waiting for a resolution for your issue which I can see it is your case, please bare in mind that this might take a bit of time. The issues are being analyzed on a case-by-case basis and it takes more than a couple of hours to solve them depending on what kind of issue it is. But be sure that as soon as there is feedback, you will be contacted.

  • I have this same exact issue. The computer recognizes my speed cell, yet when I click sync, it says it connecting to micoach web and comes back with error message. My internet is working because I'm on this website looking at people with similar problems and replying to this messag eno problem. I have synced the device two times before. This is the third time and all of a sudden sync problems. Help please

      Sorry to hear that you aren't able to sync your SPEED_CELL.

       

      I've checked your sync data in our system and could see that you've been getting error 1001.

       

      I've passed your issue with your log files that could be found in our system on to our engineers. I'll follow up and get back to you as soon as I get some information from them.

    • Hi sockers4,

       

      We've checked your sync data and could see that you could sync your SPEED_CELL successfully on 07.June after reporting this issue.

       

      Has this issue been resolved?

       

      If the issue keeps happening, please make sure that the SPEED_CELL is within range (within 10 meters but not closer than 6 inches from the CONNECT) and that the SPEED_CELL is activated (shake for few seconds (15-20 seconds as it can be activated by movement). Also try replacing the battery of the SPEED_CELL.

  • Hi , I used to micoach soccer one time for test ... It was working but And then Update to ipad ios 5.1.1 .. It doesn't work now ... Firstly I remove the device then deleted micoach soccer and then load to micoach soccer ... But It doesn't add device micoach ... Can you help me

      thanks for posting.

       

      Please try to Add your Device again but this time try to unplug and plug your CONNECT a couple of times allowing some minutes in between each trial. Also, make sure your SPEED_CELL is not closer than 16cm from the dongle. If it still does not work, please delete the App and reinstall it and see if that helps. Finally power-cycle your device, turn on/off and try again.

       

      Just as a reminder, the SPEED_CELL is not compatible with the iPad. We have noticed that some users have been successful when using the SPEED_CELL with it, but the compatibility is not official from our part. Therefore, it might be that some issues are present specially when syncing the SPEED_CELL to the App (when using the dongle). As soon as this status changes we will let you know.
