  • Hi Indranil123,

    Thanks for the post.

Which miCoach device do you have?

To track your outdoor cycling data, it would be the best if you use the miCoach mobile App as it works based on GPS and can measure your distance, speed/pace and route.

Which mobile phone do you have?

You can download the miCoach mobile App from App store (for iPhone), Google Play (for android phone), BB app world (for some BB models) and Ovia store (for some Nokia models) for free.

If you have an iPhone, you can also use the Heart Rate Monitor with the miCoach mobile App to record your heart rate using CONNECT for iphone.

If the Heart Rate Monitor is not in use, you  can do an assessment workout on the cycle and do miCoach plan workouts using pacebased coaching.

Llet me know if you have any further questions.

    Thanks,

    • Hi, i also train using a bicycle. I would like to see a plan based on bicycle training instead of just recording my data while training with a bicycle.

      Thanks!

      • Hi Starback,

        Thanks for your feedback.

I understand your point and will make sure that this suggestion will be shared with our coaches who develope miCoach plans and hope to see a plan for cycling in the near future.

Alternatively, you can do any miCoach plan with a bicycle. However, bear in mind that you need to do a new assessment workout on your bicycle before doing any plan, as zones for cycling should be set differently than for running.

        Thanks,

        • Thanks alot for your considerationg and the excellent suggestion of reseting the zones for bicycle use!

        • Congratulations for this awesone app, I never ran in my lilfe until I found miCoach

Now I don't want to stop

          I have run a 5, 10k races & 1/2 marathon

Next step? Road bicycles, but I would like to have the training plans as in running, not only tracking speed and calories

          Hopefully will be available soon

          Thanks again for this app

        • Is a date for the inclusion of cycling plans already set? I'm really waiting for it!!

          • Hi Luc1971,

I understand that many of you are waiting for the cycling plan. At the moment we don't have any update on it yet.

I'll let you know as soon as we have news about it. So please stay tuned!

I appreciate your kind patience and understanding!

  • It would be nice to be able to have not only plans for cycling, but also a separate assesment for cycling so that those people that do both running and cycling don't have to keep re-doing an assessment or manually changing the speeds.

    • Hi DavelnFL,

      Thanks for the feedback.

A very good point! It's a great idea to have a separate zones (assessment workout) saved on the website and simply switch one to another depending on the activity type.

I've passed this suggestion on to our web guys and hope this can be implemented in the future.

Alternatively you can create two different accounts, one for cycling and one for running. In this way, you don't have to keep re-doing the assessment workout or adjusting the zones. I know that it's not the best way as you need to sync your device to different accounts according to the activity but I think it's still better than changing the zones every time.

      Thanks,

  • Any update on cycling plans?

I'm in triathlon training and am finding the running plan to reduce my 5k run time is just great...it seems so simple to add the funcionality for a cycling plan!

I really like micoach; adding cycling training plans would be a great addition.
