I just bought the pacer and left it to charge for 2 hours, but now all the lights on it are red and I can't shut them off.  I'm also having issues synching it to my computer (the pacer & speed cell are not being recognized).  Did I do something wrong??

  • Hi,

I had the same problem when I charged mine for the first time. There is a very small hole on the back of the pacer, just above the bottom left screwhole. This is shown as the Reset on page 4 (section 1.3) of the downloadable Pacer user manual. I gently slipped a small safety pin into this hole until there was a subtle click...and all was fixed without a problem since. I believe this is a soft reset?

Sorry I can't paste a link with better instructions but I'm having trouble with the support section of the site.

    Hope this helps.

    Cheers,

    Johno

  • Hi PatheiMathos,

    Thanks for the post.

@ Johno78, thanks for sharing information to help other user!

Johno78 is right! If your Pacer has all 3 red lights on and 3 red lights can't be turned off even after switch off the Pacer, please reset your Pacer as instructed in the Guide here. Resetting should help you to resolve 3 red lights issue and the manager should be able to recognize your Pacer.

Regarding SPEED_CELL, can I ask you a question?

Can the manager recognize the CONNECT for PC/Mac when it is inserted to the computer? If the CONNECT for PC/Mac is recognized by computer, the transmission antenna on the right top of manager lights green.

If the transmission antenna lights green but the SPEED_CELL can't be found by manager, please try the following steps:

    • Make sure that the SPEED_CELL is within range (within 10 meters but not closer than 6 inches from the CONNECT for PC/Mac) and that the SPEED_CELL is activated (shake it for few seconds as it can be activated by movement).
    • Select "Show ignored devices" and refresh list.
    • Exit the manager completely (right click on "Mi" icon in the taskbar and go to Exit) and run the manager again and try again.

Please let me know how it works.

    Thanks,
