Hi Tarator,
thanks for posting.
Please do not place your SPEED_CELL in your sock, wearing the SPEED_CELL on the shoe laces using the lace clip or in the cavity of miCoach compatible shoes will allow for highest level of data accuracy. If it is used in any other way than recommended (with lace clip or in cavity), adidas does not guarantee the same level of data accuracy. Now that you are telling me that you do not have your compatible shoes, please use the shoes laces option. Place the lace clip under the shoelaces and attach the SPEED_CELL on top by pressing the it firmly into place. The adidas logo must face up when attached to the laces.
Now about the data not being recorded. Could you tell me please which SPEED_CELL version do you have (for PC/Mac or iPhone/iPod) and if you are using an specific App with it? Also, are you only running with the SPEED_CELL alone? and finally, are you following any of the plans for the website?
I look forward for your feedback!

Hi,
Thank you for the feedback. I got my new soccer cleats yesterday and won't be able/don't want to wear them until my game on sunday morning. I have the PC/MAC version of the speed cell. I had no problem syncing it. As I told in my previous e-mail, after 12 min assessment training/running on my elliptical, it said there was no data recorded. I set up a plan on the website but didn't do any sessions other than the first one yet. I was planning to exercise on my elliptical and use the speed cell (either in my sock or tape it on the foot pad area since I don't have any compatible shoes for running on the elliptical).
I am not using any App. For now, I just got the speed cell (PC/MAC version). I like the whole miCoach idea. I may get the hear beat monitor later on. I just want to figure out the speed cell thing first.
I noticed that both of my cleats have a cavity for speed cell. Does it matter in which cavity (left or right) I put the cell in? Let's say I put it in my right cleat, do I have put it in the same one from now on for consistency?
Thanks,
Tarator.
Hi Tarator,
Thanks for the update.
I'd like to inform you that it isn't possible to do the miCoach plan workouts using the SPEED_CELL only. The SPEED_CELL has on-board memory and can record your data but the website information (like schedule) can't be uploaded onto the SPEED_CELL.
To do miCoach plan workouts you've scheduled in your web account, you need either miCoach Pacer or miCoach mobile App. You can sync website schedule onto these devices. These devices will then give you the real time coaching to help you stay in intervals set in each workout and record your stats. After finishing your workout, you can sync them with your web account and check your workout result. The miCoach then knows that you've done the scheduled workout.
You can download the miCoach mobile App from App store (for iPhone), Google Play (for android), App world (for some Blackberry models) and Ovia (for some Nokia models) for free and log in on the miCoach mobile app to link it with your web account. If you have one of the supported model, have a try and you'll see how it works. The miCoach mobile App measures your distance, pace/speed and route based on GPS. Therefore, you need to do an outdoor pacebased assessment workout where you have a good GPS signal.
If you have an iPhone, you can pair sensors (Heart Rate Monitor and Stride Sensor/ SPEED_CELL) with the miCoach mobile App using CONNECT for iPhone/iPod and do both heart rate base and pacebased training. If you pair the SPEED_CELL with the miCoach mobile App using CONNECT for iPhone/iPod, you can even do an indoor assessment workout as the distance and speed/pace will be then measured by the SPEED_CELL. You can also sync your SPEED_CELL separately to view more detailed stats.
The SPEED_CELL is designed for sport specific games or training. When you play sport specific games or training, it's inconvenient to carry other devices along with you. In this case, you can simply wear the SPEED_CELL and play. The SPEED_CELL then records your data. After match, you can sync your SPEED_CELL data and check your stats via App (Football, Tennis, Running or Basketball App) or via computer.
After synching your SPEED_CELL via computer, go to "Home" page in your web account and assign its data to a workout unless you can't see your workout result under Track. Please note that the SPEED_CELL data can't be assigned to a miCoach plan workout but only to a sport specific workout.
Under "Home" section, you'll see the following notification after synching your SPEED_CELL:
Click on "assign data" button and assign its data as instructed in the post here.
It doesn't really matter in which cavity you place your SPEED_CELL.
If you don't have any compatible shoes for running, you can wear your SPEED_CELL on the shoe lace using lace clip. If it is used in any other way than recommended (with lace clip or in cavity), adidas does not guarantee the same level of data accuracy.
If you have any further questions, please let me know.
Thanks,
SportySpider1
