It’s the same old issue. I bought a SPEED_CELL and new boots from Adidas. I was very excited to try them out but....as you all know that it is absolutely impossible to pair your IPhone with the SPEED_CELL. I have tried everything and trust me when i say everything, i mean everything. I am sure MissTennis or another moderator will come and paste a generic message saying "did you do this" "did you try that". Save your 2 clicks to copy&paste as I have tried all. I even went back to the store and tried 2 other SPEED_CELLs with different Iphones and ipods.

I am probably going to return this product for a cash refund. I really wanted it to work because the idea is fantastic.

Can anyone help before I return this product?

I wish I could help but I am having the same problem. In fact I am going to post a comment with much stronger wording. It just doesnt sync and when it does most of the time it failed to record the tennis workout. I cannot tell if its the cell or the software.

Thanks for the honest feedback.

I truly understand that this can be frustrating. I hear you and feel your pain.

We have noticed that a small number of users are facing challenges with syncing and pairing the miCoach SPEED_CELL with the Tennis App, Football App, Basketball App and Running App. We are investigating the cause of these issues with the utmost priority.

We'll let you know as soon as there is any update on this.

Hi Guys,

There is a new info regarding pairing/synching SPEED_CELL via iPhone. Please have a look at our post in the following link: http://community-micoach.adidas.com/thread/14081

If you are experiencing issue with Football App, alternatively try the steps below:

1. Download any of the other Sports Apps (Running, Basketball, Tennis)
2. Launch the App
3. Add device
4. Go back to the main menu and ask the user to sync
5. If the syncing is successful, edit the data.
6. Then when assigning the data, choose the Football (Soccer) option from the scrolling menu.
7. Go back to the main menu and sync the App to the website
8. login to your miCoach account and check on history the latest workout. You can check your football data in your web account.

  I have the same problem and have updated all my apps. The above instructions did not work either. Further, the link you provided wasn't helpful. One of the links provided you guys says "check the battery level" but gives no instruction on how to do this.
  
  Who engineered and developed this thing? It sucks for $70.

    Thanks for posting.
    
    Regarding your issue, please replace the battery of your SPEED_CELL and see if now you can pair it, it might be that the battery drain while in storage. You need a CR2032 battery that you can get in any electronics shop. Once you replace it, please try to pair the SPEED_CELL again. Remember the SPEED_CELL must be within a range of no more of 10m but no closer than 16cm from the CONNECT. Let us know how it goes.

      1) Won't I lose the current data on the chip if I replace the battery? I played a match yesterday and wish not do to this.
      2) I don't believe its a battery issue because I can open the MiCoach app (not the soccer app) and it recongizes the speed_cell. This leaves me to believe the battery works well enough for the miCoach app to recognize it.

        Thanks for posting.
        
        If you retrieve the battery, please make sure to wait 2 minutes before putting it back again. This way you'll not lose data. If you put it right away then yes, it might be that you lose your data. Regarding the issue with pairing, I just want to check again with you if you are not putting the SPEED_CELL next to the CONNECT. It has to be at least 16cm away so it can be paired. If you are doing that and still does not work, please close the app, open it again and try one more time. If it still does not work, I would appreciate if you can contact our Support Team so they can help you out further with your issue. When you do it, let them know what you already tried, the model of your mobile phone, which App you're using and that the SPEED_CELL can be recognized by the miCoach App. Finally, please add this code to your message so we can track it better: "SCM - your miCoach username - SD". You'll be contacted soon.
