This isn't an issue with micoach. It's the iPhone. Only certain things can continue to run in the background.

How are the certain things determined? Do we know if MiCoach will be one of the certain things in the future?
They are deteremined by how Apple allows it's equipment to be used. It's a bit like not being able to use flash in the web browser The equipment is capable of doing it but it might make the iPhone run sluggishly. This is why the iPhone isn't truly multitasking and pauses many background tasks. Apple would rather limit the capability of the iPhone than have it run poorly and look bad for them. You would have to ask Apple when they will allow developers to run more background tasks.
Hi there.
as far as i know the micoach hear trate monitor part wont work in the background. if you are using the ipod whilst running its best to set the music to play first then go into micoah set start on your work out and leave it running on top. Or if you have set a playlist you can set that to play from micoach whilst in your work out.

Hi AustinB,
Thanks for the post.
gnt64 is right! if you put the miCoach mobile App on the backgroud while using sensors, the sensors won't work. It would be the best to create a playlist and play it on the miCoach mobile App.
Thanks,
