My son purchased this with his own money... I am trying to get the darn thing to work for him so he can track his results. Questions that I have are as follows.. #1. Why would it show an accurate workout time for today, but have no other data collected. All it shows was his training time? #2. As I understand it, to track him in a game, we start a workout (to which we hear GPS LOCATED).. He is then on the field and his ipod is in his soccer bag. At the end of the game, he accesses his ipod and clicks "end" and then "save & sync to MiCoach. When he clicks on "Track" it only shows the time of the workout.. Nothing else. #3. Random Question - Is an internet connection needed at any time in the process? He is using his Ipod Touch and it only has internet connectivity when he gets home. Thanks for your help
Hi - sounds like you have the miCoach Speed_Cell but are using the wrong app. Try downloading 'micoach football' from the app store.
To initially set up the football app you will need an internet connection to sign in to micoach. After that you only need a connection to send workouts up to micoach.com - he will be able to sync data from the speed_cell to his ipod and view it on the ipod without an internet connection.
I am guessing, the app you are using is miCoach mobile which is for real-time coached training and not on-pitch use.
Chuck, you are the man.. You had it correct and now he is clocking in at 12.8 mph.. Not bad for a U11 player.. It's fun to see his intensity, knowing he will now be able to track himself. Thank you...
