Hi all,

I bought the zone as a replacement for my old HRM and was pleased to discover the coaching aspect of the Iphone app. I'm at workout seven and have started to run into some problems.

My Zones on the app are as follows.

Red: 169-178 Bpm

Yellow: 160-168 Bpm

Green: 140-159 Bpm

Blue: 124-139 Bpm

I noticed on Friday that I couldn't get the monitor into the Yellow zone and today I was running with a bpm of 155 but the zone was still flashing blue. In the end I had to keep pressing the button to see where my Bpm was lying to check I was in the right zone. I'd wondered why I was struggling to stay in the green zone now I know that at 162 the zone should be flashing yellow!

I'm not sure if the zones on the zone watch are set too high or the zones on the app are set too low (I have done the assessment workout) Both the zone and the app start my blue zone at 124 but here the similarties end.

Anyone else had this issue and mannaged to resolve it? I have tried reducing my Max HR on my zone from 187 to 178 to see if the zones adjust accordingly, failing that I guess I will have to stick a peice of paper to the watch with the zones written on!

  • Hi shelleyphant,

normally there aren't many issues with the miCoach Zone.

Some of things which could be causing this are as follows:

    • Check that the HRM is connected to the chest strap correctly (left and right)
    • Check that the chest strap is wet enough
    • Try playing with the strap position to see if this improves
    • Check the battery of the Zone - you can get a free battery by emailing support@miCoach.com

If you continue to have issues then please email support to let them know.

    Cheers,
