  • Bluetooth HRM please

  • me

  • Is there any idea on a timeline? It seams as though there should be some idea of if this is going to happen or not.

  • Yes Android + ANT+ because I own a SonyEricsson phone with support for that

  • Ant+ heart rate monitor please, no more searching for GPS when training. (android phone)

  • I simply can not believe that there is no update whatsoever on this. Surely Adidas know that there is a large community of android owners who have ANT+ HRM already.

If they wait any longer they will never get a user base on android, endomondo is growing and growing.

If Adidias really can not get the coaching bit working on android, at least do recording of heart rate like the others do.

  • I have already moved to garminfit. Unfortunately it does not have training courses, but it has native ant+ support for hrm and footpod. Plus integration with garmin connect.

  • When i tried endomondo, i wrote feature request, and i got the reply next day. And they said, ok, we hear you, we will monitor this request and if it will have enough votes, we will implement it. That's support.

Yes, i still keep running with micoach mobile, but given the amount of gps signal problems and not very accuate pace coaching, sometimes i feel that maybe it's obsolette to keep with training plans with that amount of error.

  • Hi Guys,

at the moment we don't have any update if or when HRM training with the Android App will be available.

It is not the intention of the moderators to keep all the users in the dark, if and when we have info about this topic we will definitely share it.

As far as we're aware the standing hasn't changed - Android is important but it's not as simple as making a CONNECT for Android and that working with the App.

There are over 150 different Android handsets from many different manufacturers. Only a small number of these are ANT+ compatible.

Some users have asked for Bluetooth compatibility but this would mean a complete change in the miCoach products which are all currently work with ANT+.

We make sure that all this feedback is passed to the developers but beyond that we can influence them and when we hear anything then we pass this back to the forum users.

A result of this is the most recent update of the App which includes the ability to use Strength and Flex workouts directly on the App including viewing the videos of the workout examples.

I hope this sheds some light on the situation for you guys.

    Cheers,

  • How on earth is it posible that i can use a adidas heart rate beld on my endomodo app on my xperia s and that adidas can not make there app working with there beld?

You are adidas, one of the bigger corps with more money and recourches then endomodo.

As an it architect and ex software architect i can say it is all about will power and commitment of the management.

And as i speak for my self.

The internet is full with  nice exercises.

I need an app to measure and record my heart rate, time, distance and keep it in a sort agenda an analyse it.

    Like my suunto t6c and

And keep up the good work!

  • Hi Rugby! Thanks for sharing at least something. It started to look like kind of monologue in this forum.

Generaly - It would be great to have some kind of http://getsatisfaction.com/ system so we can be on track what's planned and also on the other hand for you - have the easily viewable system to see what features are mostly demanded by users - by suggesting and voting for them.

I also see your point of kind of problematic implementation of android hrm. BUT - maybe the ANT+ can be just good start. As i think, ANT+ phones are those, which are chosen by active people, which are also you target audience. So what i'm saying is that maybe from the global perspective there are not too many of ant+ phones, but between the active/sporting people the share can be better. AND of course as Mowikan wrote - I'm pretty sad, that endomondo can build it and adidas which is much bigger can't.

I see a lot of marketing pushing the Micoach here in czech rep. and from that perspective - investing just a fraction of the advertisment/marketing budget to the massive and loyal comunity of people, which comes in contact with your brand almost everyday, and in very intimate moments of endorphine rush, i have no idea why you dont have this feature already and kicked endomondo nike+ and endomondo's b... :]]]]]

  • Thanks for such answer, at least now it is clear.

Concerning ANT+ native support - I bought especially SonyErricson andorid phone. And as previously mentioned many active persons did also.

IMHO you are losing part of android audience, because there is at least one big competitor now for you - it is Garmin. Yep, they have also similar connect dongle for IPhone, but they also remember about Android by releasing GarminFit. It is not free of charge (1$ ), it does not have training courses like micoach, but they have ANT+ footpond and HR support and their Garmin Connect site is not worse than miCoach one.

In my opinion enabling of native ANT+ is not heavy - just download Google MyTrack sources from sourceforge and have a look into their java module which does such support. Do you expect one man year to repeat it? I'm not sure ...

  • Thanks Rugby.

All that needs to be done is to add the code that recieves already available hrm bluetooth signal and converts it to bpm as used in micoach.  Please ask your developers for this, it's not very involved.  Most android phones have only bluetooth.

Please ask your developers for BT HRM code!

  • +1, need to be there!!!!

  • Heart rate monitor,would be helpful..Please
