This question has been Answered.

I was curious how people carry the pacer and an mp3. Do you have special pockets in your running clothes? wear a belt with a pocket? or tuck it inside a pouch   on the arm or at the waist?  I have a 2nd gen nano and find it hard to manage both the mp3 and the pacer while I am concentrating on the run.

  • I wear an armband with my mp3 player and just clip the  pacer beside it to the right so it sits a little towards the inside part of my arm.  I find this way that the buttons are easily accessible  and mp3 player is a little awkward to use, but I dont usually adjust that much when I run-just turn it on and go.

  • I have the Sansa Clip+. Its about the same size as the Pacer and has a clip just like the pacer.

I wear both on the heart rate sensor band just outside the sensor zone.

  • At this point, I clip the Pacer to the armband for my nano, and make sure my nano's already set to the playlist I want before I hit start, since it's a little hard to put both of them somewhere on the armband that I could control them both, I just put the Pacer where I can reach that center button...

  • I pair my Pacer with a Sansa Clip+ on an armband.

Not too many armbands for the Clip+ so I went with DLO.. pretty pricey for an item like that but it works like a charm and pretty comfortable too.

I reckon this combo because the Clip+ is so light and small. I hardly feel anything.

  • I have a 5th gen nano. I purchased a holder with a clip and wear it on my waist with my pacer. I tried armbands, but could not get one that was comfortable for my nano. I don't even notice that I have my nano and pacer on anymore.

  • You don't need an expensive arm band by the way ...

I have cut off the bottom of a (lonely) black sports sock (which happens to have the logo of another sports brand on it). The bottom of the sock is where the heel starts.

I slide the (remaining part of the) sock over my arm, and roll it upwards in half, which "doubles" the sock. This way I have an easy and safe pouch for my mp3-player, since the elastic band of the top of the sock clings to my arm without hurting. It also protects against sweat, and it doesn't get sweaty underneath the sock. I've had no problem with it being awkwardly in my way, as I tuck the cord of my earphones partly in the sock, and as I also make sure my playlist is set and I can reach the center button of the pacer during workouts.

I've seen/talked to others who followed my sock-example in my (small and social) neighbourhood, but they have also had the creativity to use a sewing machine to make dividers for a house/car key and their mp3-player, etc. (Okay okay, most of them had their mom, wife or gf make it for them ...).

Everyone has a spare sock lying around, or one with a hole at a toe or something.

It doesn't look weird btw, other runners have asked where I bought it, so they were surprised to hear it was just an old sock.

You can also just wash it with your sports clothes without having to be careful washing it.
