Hi Hajni and DavidtheWasp1,
As you may know, GPS signal can be lost when you are in areas that obstruct the open sky. For example tree-covered areas, places with tall structures or coverings, and in buildings such as the gym. That is most likely why your distance is off.
However, if you know the exact route that you ran, you can edit your route under the Routes list and add it to a manually created workout to get the result you are looking for.
Here are the steps to take:
1. Add the route to your route list
2. Go to Manage > Routes
3. Edit your route. You'll see a question mark in top right corner that gives instruction on editing. You'll add the parts that were not recorded. Then click on “Save as” to save it as a new route.
4. Next go to Manage > Schedule >click on the day (the white space around the workout, not the workout) and in the dialogue box, click on Add New Workout. Now manually enter the stats from the old workout that has the incorrect distance in it.
5. Go to Results of the newly created workout and add the newly edited route there. Since the distance will be different in the map than in your new workout, you will have the choice to override the workout stats with the distance from yor route. So say yes in the dialogue box.
Now you will delete the old workout and will ahve the correct distance in the new workout.
Again, this process works when you know the exact route and can edit as such.
I hope this helps out out!
cheers,
