thanks for posting.
To pair the SPEED_CELL with the tennis App (or a Sports App in general) please follow the next steps:
1. Go to the main menu of the App and tap on miCoach>Settings>Manage devices.
2. Tap on "add device", shake a bit your SPEED_CELL to activate it and you will see a 5 or 4 digits number appear. Tap on it.
3. Then, you will see the message that requires the passkey. There, just choose any combination of numbers you like and click Ok.
4. Afterwards, you will see that the App is checking the passkey. Once it is done, you will see a new window that will ask you for the device name. When you see this, do not tap on the green squares that say: remove device/add as default. Also avoid to change the name of the SPEED_CELL. Just click on the Ok sign that is located on the right corner at the bottom.
5. Then you will have the App and the SPEED_CELL paired.
If this is not the first time you are trying to add a device and you have one already assigned then please remove it first. To do so:
1. Tap on the added device
2. Tap on Edit>remove device
Finally, follow the instructions above.
@TennisGuru I see you are having issues with the connectivity between the CONNECT and the SPEED_CELL, therefore I would suggest you to make sure the CONNECT is properly plugged with the iPhone/iPod until you see the little icon surrounded by a green color. If the CONNECT is not recognized by the App, unplug it and plug it again a couple of times and give it another go. Finally, power cycle your phone (turn on/off) and try again.

well I tried your advice, but it won't work with me. I only got this error message:
Yesterday I was able to get one step further to point 4 on your list, but than the next error message poped up:
The passkey could not be set because the miCoach Speed_cell could not be found or there was
an error while connecting. This could happen if the miCoach Speed_cell is too far away from the
device or the battery is empty.
And now my iPhone isn't able to find the Speed_Cell and I will get the message above all the time:
No devises found, please make sure that your miCoach Speed_cell is in range before trying again.

Thanks for the screenshot and for the information. Did you activate the SPEED_CELL? To do it you only need to shake it a bit for some seconds.
Also it might be that your SPEED_CELL is to close from the CONNECT, as a general rule, when pairing and syncing the SPEED_CELL should be with in a range of 10m but not closer than 6in (about 15-20 cm) from the CONNECT.
Try again and let me know if it makes a difference.

yeah I did all that.
First I shook the Speed Cell and it didn't work. Then I ran for 60 sec for at least 80 meter (cause I read it, that this will activate the Speed Cell), but it didn't work.
And the range, well I tried it a few times. Always with different range to the iPhone, but the error message stayed.
unfortunately nothing worked yet...

Thanks for the update and sorry for the late reply. As a last resource, please take out the battery of the SPEED_CELL and try again. This will reset it and probably allow to pair it with the App however, unfortunately you will lose all your recorded data.

I can´t ad the speed sensor to the Micoach Tennis.
The mensage always apears like:
"No devices fund", please make sure that your miCoach Speed Cell is in range before trying again.
The regular iphone app works well, but the sports ones no.
I did all the tips that are written in the support blog, and it didn´t work.
Please help me, to ad my speed cell...

Got the same problem. The tennis app finds the device (5digit number) but won't upload the pass key. Tried this on iPhone4 and ipad2 both the same problem.

Thanks for posting. What do you mean by not uploading the passkey? do you mean the App does not accept any combination of number you are assigning for the first time? is the App showing you a certain error message? If it is the first time you are trying to pair the SPEED_CELL alternatively you can skip to put any passkey on it and just press ok with the blank field. It also would be useful if you can post a screenshot of the error so I can have it clearer.
Could you try it and let me know how it goes?

Hmm this was strange. My Mac software also didn't recognize the speedcell anymore, so i deleted the software and reinstalled it. I read that its best to don't change the name and add a passkey so I did this. Now it sees and syncs perfectly. But here i comes: the iphone tennis app is also working again (after using the speedcell via the macsoftware) It asked for an passkey and it worked perfectly.
I think something went wrong in the mac software with adding a passkey (a few days back). Maybe the sync didn't work or was fully completed and therefore i coudn't connect anymore.
So problem solved i guess!

Do you need the iPhone MiCoach Connect to use the SPEED_CELL and heart rate monitor 'live' during a session or does it use the phones bluetooth (or similar) without the CONNECT device?

If you want to use the SPEED_CELL as a Stride Sensor and the Heart Rate Monitor with the miCoach training app so you are being coached while training, yes. You need the iPhone miCoach CONNECT and to carry you iPhone with you while training so the signal from the sensors can be received and you can see the progress of your workout.

I've got the same problem.
Was very excited to receive my speed_cell with adipure soccer shoes, but the iphone app does not recognize the censor no matter what i do. im making sure that it's within proper distance, i tried shaking it, restarting the iphone, changed the batter and still nothing works.

I see you already tried a lot of things, that is why I would appreciate if you can contact our Support Team (support@micoach.com) so they can give you one-on-one advise on your issue. When you write them, please specify which SPEED_CELL version do you have, which generation is your iPhone and which OS does it has. Also which App are you using and if you also tried to sync/pair with other Apps and finally what you have tried to solve your problem. Someone will contact you soon.

I have the same problem as CSKA1, my SPEED_CELL is not recognized by my iphone 4 when using the app micoach football. I have tried everything is in this thread and still does not work
. On the other hand, when using with the normal micoach app is does work. so my guess is that the app actually is not working properly. I am usign an iphone 4 with iOS 5. Thanks
Yes, add me to the list of people that cannot get this to connect with the micoach tennis app. No problem connecting to the generic MiCoach app, but tennis is a no go. I've tried all the suggested things, but still no work. Sent an email to support but haven't heard back. Disappointed.

@Neco10 and buttercrud: Please note that once you've added the SPEED_CELL, the APP won't recognize your SPEED_CELL if you try to add the SPEED_CELL again. If you've added your SPEED_CELL ever before, you just need to click on Sync.
If it is the first time you're trying to add the SPEED_CELL but the App can't recognize your SPEED_CELL, please try following steps:

well I contacted the support. They told me they will mail me back, if they find a solution for the problem. Unfortunately, I haven't heard anything since that day. I still get the same error message (the one with with the range). No solution helped yet...
I have the same problem.. I gave all my information to the support team and was told that i'd get a reply in 3 days... it's been about 15 days now and i still haven't heard back from them
I contacted them and they forwarded it on to app support. No response yet. It would be nice to be able to use the speed cell with the soccer app, seeing as that's the whole reason I bought it.
The fact that it doesn't work with ANY of the sports specific app for what appears to be a lot of people makes me wonder when a fix will be implemented. Hopefully it is before I return the product to the store.

Any updates!? I'm playing soccer tomorrow and would like to use the SPEED_CELL to track my match. Is there any way to use the miCoach base app to sync after the match? Right now all I know is that I have to have the miCoach app up and running and it can only do live syncing, meaning the iPhone is on and within range of the SPEED_CELL. Can I use the SPEED_CELL out on the field and sync after the match using the standard miCoach app?
The reason I bought the SPEED_CELL was for the soccer app. I would appreciate an update on what Adidas is doing to fix this issue. I have received no response from contacting support and see no customer support phone number. This is very frustrating.
Same here. The device will pair with the generic version as a "Stride Sensor" but wont recognise under the football App which is the reason i purchased the product. If you are experiencing issue with Football App, alternatively try the steps below:
1. Download any of the other Sports Apps (Running, Basketball, Tennis)
2. Launch the App
3. Add device
4. Go back to the main menu and ask the user to sync
5. If the syncing is successful, edit the data.
6. Then when assigning the data, choose the Football (Soccer) option from the scrolling menu.
7. Go back to the main menu and sync the App to the website
8. login to your miCoach account and check on history the latest workout. You can check your football data in your web account.

I just received my micoach today and of course, I've run into the same problems of not being able to add my speed cell like everyone else here using the micoach tennis app. The normal micoach app connects perfectly fine.
I've tried everything, shaking speedcell, checking it's distance, reconnecting the CONNECT, power cycling my iphone 4s. Nothing works. Why would I need to replace the battery when it apparently works perfectly fine with the regular app? Don't know but I did this also, still nothing.
Possible fix? adidas can get it's programmers to FIX the app that seems to be the main problem.

I am glad to hear you were able to add your device. As for the syncing. Make sure to have your SPEED_CELL within a range of no more than 10meters from the CONNECT but no less than 16cm, that means do not place it just next to the dongle. Also, when syncing shake it a bit in order to activate it.
It would be good to try a couple of times more, plugging in and out the CONNECT and closing and launching the app again, allowing a bit of time in between each trial.

* Remove and add your device again.
* Unplug and plug the CONNECT.
* Try to sync you SPEED_CELL, if you do several trials, please allow some time between each process. Remember that the SPEED_CELL must be within a range of no more than 10meters but no less that 16cm from the CONNECT and that you have to shake a bit the device in order to activate it.

I have one more question.
Is it possible to delete workouts from the iPhone respectively from the miCoach Tennis App? because I also use the speed_cell for jogging and the Tennis App shows these workouts as well.

Thanks for the question.
I've checked your sync data and could see that you're using the miCoach mobile app with SPEED_CELL. So I believe you're synching your SPEED_CELL separately using Tennis App. In this case you will have two different workouts even though you've done just one workout.
Currently it isn't possible to delete a workout on the Tennis App. You can only delete the workout on the updated Football App before editing.
However, you can delete the workout on the website as follow:
