I know the team behind miCoach has a lot on their plate and probably 101 things to implement, but looking at the miCoach site and the way it's designed I think that they're seriously underestimating the importance of social features and why they should be near the very top of the list.

There's a question on another thread about why we run. I can answer that in two words - "Nike+" and "Twitter"

Over the past year, I've noticed more and more people using Nike+. Every day automatic tweets would appear "xxx ran 5K with a pace of ....

"  In fact it got to the stage where 5 people I follow were using Nike+ (and I was only following 30 at the time) so it may well be that since we were all following each other, the running bug spread via twitter!

Finally one day I couldn't resist any more and I bought a Nike+ Sportband.  You have to realize that every tweet was not only an advert for Nike+, but an endorsement of the product and of running - Very powerful stuff.

Now I'm using the Pacer and really liking the far, far superior site here, but I'm very much missing the automated tweets and the motivation of knowing my progress will be public to  my friends and getting their feedback and encouragement.

If posting to social networks it a lot of work then at the very least we could do with in the meantime is maybe an RSS feed of our journal page that could be routed through another service like Friendfeed or other places that can do useful things with feeds.
